I ordered 7 drawers for my mom’s 36” pantry cupboard so she could access everything easier. When I went to wash them down after the installer left, I got a bunch of slivers. None of the edges were sanded down, a lot of them were splintered (see photos). There was still sawdust in all the drawers. The glue on the underside of the drawers was hanging down like cobwebs. One of the drawers was actually cracked and broken. And the drawers / drawer dividers were all different depths/lengths. The pantry cabinet is the same depth from top to bottom so I am not sure why the drawers were different. They all had to be replaced.
So a couple months later we had to go through the whole mess again when they replaced all the drawers. Joseph was there with the installer to ensure there were no issues. I asked him if I could keep the dividers from the first set as consolation for the headache of going through this twice. He agreed. When they left, I again went to wash them down, only to get more slivers. Again, none of the edges were sanded down. Two of the drawers were an inch shallower then the others. The dividers were all different lengths, the drawers were different depths because some of the drawer fronts were slightly warped. When I tried to close the bottom drawer, it wouldn’t. The centre support was falling off the underside of the drawer. This was supposed to be the heavy duty 200 lb max load drawer.
The assembly of the drawers was a bit better and the corners weren’t splintered this time, but definitely not the good quality I had expected from the samples Joseph had shown me on the consult meeting. Photos (attached) were again sent to Joseph of all the issues. We arranged to have him come back to fix the broken drawer. I told him I’d sand the drawers and dividers down myself as I needed to get my mom’s food put away so she could function in her small kitchen again. When he came back to fix the broken drawer, I asked why he allowed them to be installed when they were still not finished properly. He said I didn’t need to touch the rough edges, only the top, so the edges didn’t need to be smooth. Um, what if there’s a spill and they need to be taken out and washed? My mom is elderly. Is she to remember that she can only touch the front centre top of each drawer as anywhere else can cause injury. I guess the first time she bleeds like I did, she’ll remember - hopefully. What company does that, especially to seniors?!
So apparently that’s as good as the product is going to get and clearly is not the quality of the samples he shows potential clients. This is actually my first negative review on any company or product. Photos say 1000 words and potential customers need to know what they’re getting.
