I hired a well know established retail company to renovate my kitchen which turned out be a disaster! the customer service was very poor and I felt I wasn’t being heard.
Slava, was recommended by a friend and after our consultation I hired him and is team to re-build my kitchen, not only were they professional but my dream kitchen was built!. I recommend if your looking for a good, sufficient contractor Slava is the one!

I wanted structural beams put on the main floor to have an open concept living space. After doing some research Slava came in with the best price (by far) and with the quickest completion date. I’m so happy I went with him. Everything went so smoothly, and the place looks beautiful now. You will not regret choosing Slava for your project.

I hired Slava and his team to install two new structural beams in my kitchen and basement ceilings. My previous contractor had been unable to finish the work and Slava was quick to respond to my post and able to squeeze in the work on short notice.

Unfortunately due to material shortages, we had to make some significant last minute changes to the plan and switch to using a steel beam instead of LVL, but Slava was quite flexible and we were able to still get everything done in a reasonable time and budget.

We hired R&M to remove a load bearing wall which separated our living room and kitchen space. This included the removal of the pre existing wall, framing and structural support and relocating several power lines.

Slava was prompt to respond to our needs and questions right after our first contact with the company. The team arrived within the week and got the job done quickly with no problems. Pricing was very fair. I really appreciated Slava's quick responses, even on his day off - a rare occurence with most contractors.

We were extremely pleased with our bathroom reno. Slava and his assistants were so punctual and reliable. Slava went out of his way to get us the specific material we requested for the job and was always available to discuss anything. We had our bathroom changed - which included tub, tile and wall demolition and he rebuilt a new walk in shower. Everything went according to planned. Would highly recommend Slava for any renovation job.

I highly recommend R & M Contracting. Based on the positive reviews I called this contractor and was so glad I did. Slava came the same day and provided a very reasonable price without taking advantage of my situation. This was a small but challenging roof and wall reframing and roof replacement job on an old house extension’s dilapidated roof. Many other contractors didn’t want to even touch this job. Slava knew exactly what was required and recommended more economical solutions. Slava and his crew were very reliable. Slava closely oversaw his crew’s work. They were always on time, hard working, performed quality work and were very friendly. The crew went above and beyond cleaning up the job site and removing construction waste. Slava is also connected with many trades and was able to set me up with his roofing contractor to apply the roofing material and flashing to the new roof at a reasonable price. I will definitely call Slava in the future and recommend his company to friends for any contracting jobs.

We were looking for a contractor to renovate our 100-year old semi. The house has deteriorated over the years under the previous owner and required a full renovation. We got a structural assessment done and were looking for a contractor who specializes in framing and could complete the job as per the structural report. I found Slava on Homestars and he came the next day to provide a quote, which was reasonable. After the initial job we got Slava’s team to complete the remainder of the renovation. Our full renovation included: demotion of floor boards, sistering floor joists on the main and second floors to level the floors and strengthen the structure, brick work to add a new window and French doors, installation of windows and doors, framing of all walls, drywall, taping, painting, all millwork and caulking, bathroom tiling and installation of the engineered hardwood flooring.

Slava has an extensive network of subcontractors and we were able to tap into them including: full electrical rewiring, new HVAC, new plumbing (Dennis was great), new kitchen and built in bedroom closet, new stairs and railings and roofing.

Throughout the renovation process Slava has been very reliable, responsive, trustworthy, professional, quoted fair price, always thinking on his feet and was great with troubleshooting when it came to managing sub-contractors. We were also able to work alongside Slava’s team and did ourselves some of the plaster wall demolition and wall insulation work. We learned a lot from his team (big thanks to Kevin and other team members!). Overall, we are very happy with Slava and would use him again for another project down the line.
