Residential Driveway Replacement

In July 2018, Patriarch concrete replaced my old concrete driveway with a new one. Ten months later, I noticed a lot of pitting on the finish and contacted Leo who came out to have a look. At the time, we could not come to an agreement as to the cause of the pitting I continued to pay attention to the extent of the pitting, it is now much worse (March 2020).
I have been in contact with Leo once again and he has indicated that he will correct the problem.

It is now July 2020 and Leo has had Universal sand blasting do my driveway today. I am pleased with the result and am now a happy customer. Thank you Leo.

Residential Driveway Replacement

In July 2019 Patriarch concrete replaced my old driveway with a new one.
10 months later, I noticed a lot of pitting on the finish and contacted Leo of Patriarch who came out to have a look. Leo immediately advised me that the pitting was not due to Patriarch's workmanship but instead to city of Calgary road salt. We are a retired couple who drive very little during the winter and never leave a vehicle outside on the driveway overnight. Leo suggested I could have the driveway sandblasted at my own expense which would have the effect of exposed aggregate and he intimated that it was partly my fault for not going with an exposed aggregate driveway in the first place.
It is now about 21 months since the driveway was poured and the pitting has probably quadrupled. I have noticed that other recently poured driveways in the area are not in the condition that mine is.
The driveway was poured on a hot day (30 deg) and I believe the actual concrete was good but it was finished improperly with sealant applied while the concrete still held too much moisture which was trapped under the sealant.
I was disappointed with Leo's response which was basically 'No longer my problem' and I would not recommend Patriarch to others and people should also disregard Patriarchs 1 year warranty.
