Eco Comfort Insulation & Contracting

Found EcoComfort after seeing multiple recommendations from RedFlagDeals and they did not disappoint. From start to finish, all members the team were very professional. They installed baffles, the exhaust opening on the roof, and hooked up the exhaust ducts to 2 new bathroom fan. All parts of the process were explained well and they did a great job cleaning up after the job.

I had some issues with my attic and Wojtek was detailed in reviewing all the possible problems and solutions. The team that did the work was was quick, efficient and cleaned up. Great customer service, quality work and definitely made sure all my concerns were addressed. Very impressed and satisfied customer!

I contacted Eco Comfort in the fall based on the recommendations of two friends. We did an over the phone quote. My house is a semi-detached and the attic is less than 1,000 square feet, so it was a flat rate. They confirmed a morning appointment for the end of October and said they would be there around 8 and the job would take 2-3 hours.

On the day of, a team of two arrived in the truck at about 8:30. They began prepping the site, including protective cloths for my aluminum railings. They put up a plastic barrier to limit dust and wore full suits to protect themselves. I was working on the main floor and after the initial allowing them in and showing them around, that was it for my involvement. They did the job in 2 hours, I paid via credit card onsite, and they emailed me the before and after pics later that afternoon.

You could immediately notice the difference. The upstairs is much quieter. The rooms over the garage and porch are far less cold and we did not turn on any extra heaters even on the few cold nights we had this year. Much more comfortable over all.

This work was done as part of an energy audit.

We were very pleased with EcoComfort. They arrived on time and got to work. Gabriel, Andrew and Gregory worked for a couple hours and did a great job with our insulation. They cleaned everything up and were done and gone in a couple hours. Great service.

Both the estimators and the installers were very professional, hard-working and helpful. They were able to recommend other trades as well for the pieces that I did not have in place that really helped to get me set. I highly recommend this company.

We needed to top up the insulation in our attic from about R29 to R60 to qualify for the energy rebate. I called a couple of companies to get a quote; one couldn’t come out to quote for 2-3 weeks, whereas Eco Comfort was able to come out in 3 days. And as it turned out, they could schedule us in to do the insulation by the time the first company would just be coming out to quote.
So we decided to go with Eco Comfort, knowing their price was in line with what our neighbour just paid to have their insulation topped up. Plus they discovered some mould, so this would be treated.
They showed up within the 2 hour window that was set 3 weeks earlier. Three guys arrived to do the work, and they were friendly and knowledgeable. They explained what they would be doing and laid down drop cloths to keep the floors clean. I asked if they wouldn’t mind checking the exhaust vent from the bathroom fan just to be sure it was still secure since I had done some work on it, and they said yes without hesitation.
However, in order to get to the duct work they needed to cut out an access panel, which was also required for them to insulate the area. What I didn’t realize until later was there were two other access panels they cut to get to other areas of the attic that were hidden. They were also able to insulate the cathedral ceiling, which the Energy Advisor didn’t think would be possible.
It only took about 2 hours to complete the work, including clean up, at which time they had me go up the ladder to check their work.
I would highly recommend Eco Comfort for their competitive pricing, and their friendly, courteous and knowledgeable staff.

Great company to deal with from start to finish. Answered all my questions. Installation had to be rescheduled by me and was no problem. Installers very courteous and professional.

These are some things I appreciate of EcoComfort Insulation:
1. Responsiveness - they reply to you in a prompt manner unlike other companies and this is very important.
2. Professionalism - Patrick is a pleasure to deal with and he and his crew respect their and your time.
3. Value - pricing is very competitive and the cost pays for itself in the long run. I can run my furnace at 2 degrees lower than before and be comfortable, and I no longer need to have electric heaters in every room for winter.
4. Quality of work - excellent work was done by Gregory and Lewis in putting in the insulation and cleaning up after. It did get a little dusty but they took care it very well.

This is a well run company that can be trusted to take care of your insulation requirements. Definitely recommend and plan to refer them to others.

We needed to add insulation to bring it up to the level of R60.
Wojtek who came to give us a free quote pointed out that our pot lights were not appropriate for the insulated ceilings as they can cause fire.
That was really very thoughtful.
After we replaced the pot lights, we scheduled the job. It was done very efficiently with no mess. They also did an insulation of the hatch.
Everybody was very polite and it was very nice to have business with them.
