Highly recommend Basements for Less to anyone looking to get good work done within a reasonable budget. Quote range was in the middle of other quotes I received from competing contractors. The work completed was high quality, no corners cut, and validated by a family member who's been a contractor for 40+ years. Service levels were on-par with the work completed. Andrei (owner), the super, and all the other professionals who worked on the project listened attentively to what was required, wanted, and any changes that needed to occur (within reason). Moreover, they are all pleasant to deal with and did their best to be courteous, communicative, and transparent. They always made an effort to keep the work area clean. Special thanks to Ilia, Alex, and Serge for their hard work.

Overall, I received excellent value for my money by going with BFL and have zero regrets. Buy with confidence.

Basements For Less has exceeded our expectations on every project they have done in our home. And, they have done a few! Five to be exact, but who's counting?

We first met Andrei, owner of Basements For Less, in 2012 to provide a quote for our basement renovation. We sourced three different quotes, his was the most reasonable. It met both our budget and timeline. The result? Outstanding! Andrei and his team are courteous, efficient, and dependable! Following the basement renovation, we contracted Basements For Less to build our deck and gazebo in our backyard. The deck they completed in 2012, the gazebo in 2020. My husband and I admire their craftsmanship and work ethic!

This brings me to 2021 - I'd been pining over remodelling our dark, outdated kitchen for years. It lacked function, style and lighting!! It was fine when we moved in, in 2012 but it soon felt dark and outdated. Once again, we sourced multiple quotes knowing a kitchen renovation is a big investment in time and money.

After reviewing each quote, Andrei and his team, which included Harley who oversaw the kitchen cabinetry, won the bid!! Andrei's quote met our expectations, including costs, start + end date, materials, quality and more!!! We were happy with our decision, as it has always been such a pleasure working with Andrei and his team. They are trustworthy, honest, and experienced. They care about the details. And, if something had been overlooked, it can easily be remedied through conversation.

We started our 5-week kitchen renovation at the end of March 2021, just as the third lockdown in Ontario was announced. Andrei and his team at Basements For Less took care to ensure COVID protocols were followed. We removed a wall, relocated an exhaust, changed the location of our fridge, stove and sink, installed a massive island and swapped out the tile for hardwood flooring. That's not all...we updated the tile in our front foyer, removed columns (that were decorative but not load bearing) and updated an arch to be more streamlined and consistent with our preferred style. The overall outcome? Outstanding!!! It's now been five months since the renovation, and I feel like I live in a new house!! It's BEAUTIFUL!!!

We are beyond pleased and happy with the renovations that were done at our home (finishing our unfinished basement) by Basements for Less. From start to finish, everything went smoothly, according to plan, and exactly as quoted.

When we first contacted Andrei regarding a quote for our basement, he responded promptly to our request and was at our home within days to give us a quote. When discussing our ideas/desires, Andrei was honest with us about the cost of materials and upfront about what we would be looking at in terms of a quote and how long the project would be - there were NO hidden costs or surprises. Additionally, every time Andrei came to our home (initial quote, contract signing, etc.), he was always on time.

When work began on our basement, we were consulted every step of the way. Ilia, Alex, and Artur always made sure to ask our desires and confirm with us, and really made us feel confident in the work they were doing. When we had questions, they were always happy to answer and give honest opinions so we could be confident in the decisions we were making. Further to that, they took great care to limit the disruptions that the renovations would cause to our day-to-day and were always (ALWAYS) on time (this was so helpful in trying to balance working from home and children learning from home while this work was being done - it made scheduling meetings and daily plans so much easier).

Overall, we would happily recommend Basements for Less and will absolutely use them for any further projects at our home. We are so happy with our new basement!

Friends of ours had recommended Andrei to us and from the very beginning to the end of our home renovation project he was professional, attentive and kind. Our home looks absolutely amazing. Better than we could have ever imagined.

Our basement was finished on schedule and on budget. The quote was thorough, and all of my questions were answered. The quality of the work was excellent.

Normally we would go with referrals from people we trust, but after interviewing multiple contractors, we decided to retain Andrei to finish our basement (the only one who didn't come through a friend's recommendation). Thank goodness we made the right choice. The level of service we received exceeded our expectations. Questions, concerns were dealt with immediately. Work was done quickly and professionally. Workers were always on time, communicated well, and respectful/courteous. Costs were clearly laid out in the contract, and costs that were NOT included in the contract were explicitly communicated so that there were no surprises. For our first major reno project, we are so happy to have chosen Andrei. Highly recommended!

Andrei offered us excellent communication by giving us a detailed contract with expectations for milestone payments. When we contacted Andrei he always responded in a very timely manner to answer our questions. He offered us different options and walked us through our basement design. His teams are professional, hard-working and courteous. We took a leap of faith finding Basements for Less online, but we are so happy we did. We are extremely happy with our end results of basement kitchenette/bar, closets, walk-in closet, finished staircase, and bathroom with shower! If we had any concerns or minor details that needed extra attention –nothing was overlooked! Andrei and his team come highly recommended!
