Mark was recommended by a client of mine to help me restore my decks. Both decks were warped and peeling from using inferior weather proofing products. I also wanted to add a pergola to my smaller deck. Mark removed every board and plained them to a smooth finish to save the wood I had. He than lovingly oiled every inch of those boards to ensure they were water proof. He also corrected problems he found in my foundation and the structuring integrity on the deck. He did all this and did not add to his quote.
The pergola is spectacular and he also designed a custom waterproof cover for it. Not satisfied that it was hanging correctly he took it back to the manufacturer and had them redo it. He added a pricacy wall to my pergola deck, enlarged and re-enforced the whole deck with a very small up charge to his initial quote. My decks are the talk of the neighbourhood. In fact he got another deck restoration in the neighbourhood because of his meticulous work for us.
He is an artist. He loves his work and he will not put his name on a bad job so don't ask him to cut corners unless you want a rounded deck. If you want a job well done he is the guy to call. He's not quick but his jobs are priced on the job not the hours he spends doing it. He is a rare find.
