Siggi Buhler Carpentry

Siggi removed an old leaky tin shed at the foot of my garden and constructed a beautiful custom built cedar shed in its place, using a design that he sketched for me. I'm very pleased with the result. A Swiss woodcarver and carpenter, Siggi has a deep understanding of wood and its uses. Also a tidy, meticulous worker, he cleaned up and carted away all the rubbish leaving the area in pristine condition.

I highly recommend his services. In fact, I'm going to have him back to build a new staircase in my house!

He's also a meticulous worker who cleaned up and carried away all the rubbish, leaving my back area in pristine condition.

I was in the middle of a (ten year) renovation, when I got transferred up to Georgian Bay and had to sell my home rather quickly. Siggi finished off all my custom trim work (doors, windows, baseboards, etc.) with skill and talent. Now, a master carpenter doesn't usually help with the plaster patching and floors, but Siggi was so helpful that I got everything accomplished, and I was able to realize a very substantial gain thanks to the quality of his work. Honesty, integrity, skill and talent!

Siggi Buhler Carpentry is run by a master carpenter trained in Swiss carving, who's done work for the Pope, Queen Elizabeth II, and Bill Gates (check out his amazing website--he's got pics!) . Having had the pleasure of watching him work, I have no doubt why they'd choose him. Everyone knows someone who has a horror story with estimates that double as the job progresses and work that takes 3 Xs as long to get done. Siggi Buhler does absolutely gorgeous first rate work, and astounded me by how fast he got this work done. He treats your project like he was doing it for himself, measures everything twice, and does it right the first time. He really helped me figure out what I wanted, carefully explaining the options to me without being condescending (i'm a total lay person), offering creative ideas that I'd never thought of, and then did the project exactly as I'd chosen. His service was very personalized and flexible, and he really listened and got what I wanted. I was totally comfortable having him in my home, and felt very reassured by his integrity and work ethic. Price was really reasonable and exactly what he said it would be at the very beginning--very happy about that, as I was nervous. I asked him to repair a few odd shaped (!) wood and bamboo pieces as well that had cracked or broken, which he did beautifully and quickly too. This guy can figure out anything. I'll definitely hire him again for my next project. (he's awesome at matching previous work exactly and given the price and quality I already have some more custom indoor work in mind). Very highly recommended. Amazingly beautiful work, and done well before I thought he would be! I'm so happy with this!!
