Absolutely Shocking Company

We ordered several blinds throughout the house from Mars Blinds. Firstly they took several months to even come and install, and they were difficult to get a hold of.

During the initial installation, the main deck door blind was installed rolling towards the wall, when it was supposed to roll away from the wall, so as not to rub along the horizontal trim above the patio door. The blind was installed rolling towards the wall, so when it was raised or lowered, it was rubbing taut against the horizontal trim edge. Additionally, the blind was, and is still, not wide enough, so when it was installed, the chain was rubbing up and down the door trim.

When we brought these two issues to the installers attention, he didnt appear to care. But he eventually rotated the blind around so the chain was on the right hand side, and the blind now rolled away from the wall as it was supposed to. However, the issue at this point was that the blind material/fabric was backwards, and the sticker and metal edging was visible along the bottom hanging frame.

We contacted Mars Blinds about this, and had to bring the blind in ourselves, and paid $63 to flip the blind material around. We then had to come in and collect the blind, and then had to reinstall it. As per your instructions on the repair invoice the brackets had to be removed and flipped around again to accommodate the roll away from the window. So now the blind was finally rolling away from the wall as it should have been all along, but we have paid more for it and had to remove, deliver, collect and reinstall it.

The main issue however still remains: your initial field measurements were incorrect, and the blind is not wide enough. The right side door trim (both horizontal and vertical) are very obviously not covered by the blind. We have installed the blind bracket as close to the door trim on the left as possible without the chain catching, and you can clearly see that the right hand side should be several inches wider.

We have spoken with Adi from Mars Blinds, but clearly these people do not do a job right, or care about customer service.

You should be very wary of wasting your time and hard earned money with this company.
