The short story.... April 2013
We paid delta decks handsomely for an ipis deck, and they did not complete the job. They abandoned us, took my tools.
The long story....
On our 3rd floor, we decided to build a deck. We first needed to re-do our roof, then construct the deck on top. Sure enough once the floor of the deck was built, we discovered that our roof now had leaks - horrible story.
July 2013
Our roofing contractor insisted that the deck must come off to repair the roof - it did not in fact, and after 2 months of defering, they managed to fix the leaky roof without removing the deck (it now leaks again UGH!) It was at this time that Delta decks removed their tools out of my house (and took mine as well).

At this point we asked Aurthur and his dad to come back and complete the job. Aurthur would not return my calls or emails. Aurthurs phone does not take messages - you can never contact him! A poor and frustrating way to do business. I had to call him from my office phone - when I asked him if he was going to finish the job as he said he would, he went on the attack saying he was at a wedding in Caribbean, his dad had a sore back etc. I said "fine, just let me know, you dont return calls or send emails, I cant read your mind. "
At this piont he said leave a key to your house and we'll finish the job. He took the key and that was the last I heard from him. I got another excellent contractor to save us and finish the deck. Not surprisingly, they said the deck was not to code. Classic.
Delta Decks is the most expensive around, and they abandoned us, and didn't finish the job. Steer clear of them.
I spent the winter with the banister of the deck in my house! And I still have an unusable deck.
