Working with Tamara and Green Thumb Landscaping was a wonderful experience. Her work was very professional and she really cared that she had good staff working with her and good quality of product. The end result was even better then we had communicated in the beginning. Tamara had many great suggestions as to how to elevate our original requests while working with our budget constraints and kept to her word regarding timelines. I would recommend working with Green Thumb Landscaping to anyone looking to have a professional beautiful backyard.

Tamara and her crew were friendly and helpful and I appreciated the quality of their work. Of the quotes received Tamara was the only one who suggested and provided a quote that was based on using my existing driveway pavers and base where possible. Not only was this environmentally friendly, it also helped me to decide on which company was the right one for my project.

My front yard was in desperate need of a redo.
I had tried to get Tamara last year but it was later in the year and they were pretty much booked. Got on it early this year and she was quick to come out, do a walk around, measure, etc.. and discuss what I had in mind and what she thought would look good. Within a week I had a quote and sketch (this is an extremely busy lady), removal of old sod, new sod, boulders, two different mulches, rundle rock and various plants and shrubs.
As it turned out other renovations in the house delayed Green Thumb coming out, they were very patient about the delays.
The crew that arrived were awesome. They were great to work with, great sense of humor, professional and kept everything clean and tidy at the end of the day. They were also very conscientious about the dog in the back yard.

There was one small glitch with boulders (not fun for the guys hoofing those around) but the crew and Tamara were quick to remedy that and I was thrilled with the end result.
They really worked hard to make sure I was happy with everything, little extras that Tamara threw in to put a finishing touch on an area. I get lots of compliments on my yard from people in the neighborhood.
Tamara you have a great business and a great crew working with you. I will be sure to get in touch when the back yard is ready for a redo.

I hired Tamara for our landscaping needs because of the great reviews I read here at Homestars. Because of the huge investment, I don't want to make a mistake. Tamara and her crew did not disappoint. They were professional, started on the day they promised, and even worked on weekends to get the job done. I'm very happy how the whole project turned out. The patio, and the retaining wall were solidly built. The trees and shrubs were selected to provide a colorful blend to my house. Overall, I am very pleased with my experience with Green Thumb. Tamara came to our home, did a walk around, spoke with us regarding ideas and a few days later returned with drawings highlighting her vision for our home and a quote. (Grade / final grade / trees / shrubs / plants / turf front and back / boulders and rocks front and back / mulch and Rundle stone). There were no hidden charges and her quote was accurate.

The final result is better than we anticipated!

Her work crew is amazing. The guys were very hardworking, professional, courteous and kept the job site very clean.

Tamara was always available by email, and visited the site on a regular basis to ensure that the job was progressing on time.

My wife Amy and I began looking for contractors for a full redo of the landscaping in our front and rear yards in April and were impressed by the reviews we found for Green Thumb on Homestars. We contacted Tamara in early May regarding the work and she came by about a week later to have a look at our space. Through the 45 minute consult Tamara filled out the rough idea of what we thought we wanted with some extremely helpful suggestions and recommendations to the point where we changed our minds on two major components of the work. Tamara provided us with a detailed quote including a schedule and timeline for completion of the work the day after the visit that fit comfortably within our budget. The work began right on schedule after the May long weekend and was completed two days ahead of schedule even with some minor weather issues factored in. The quality of the work is top notch and the Tamara's creative vision has left us with a product beyond our original imaginings. Tamara's guys were courteous, conscientious, thorough and polite throughout the process. My job as a consulting engineer has me dealing with a multitude of contracting companies on a regular basis and the level of professionalism exhibited by the small group at Green Thumb was second to none. When the occasion presents itself, we will not hesitate in retaining Green Thumb to complete any of our future landscape projects. Kudos to Tamara and all her guys for a thouroghly enjoyable experience.

Tamara and her team are so awesome! They turned our older backyard into an amazing space for our kids to play and for us to entertain and relax. I have never seen a group work so hard to get every detail perfect. They were wonderful to work with and really friendly and professional. You can tell that each member of the team takes pride in the work they are doing. Our backyard looks better than we imagined and we would love to hire them for the front yard in the future. Tamara was present and involved in the project from start to finish. She listened and understood my vision and followed through with an amazing end product. From removing the existing sod and gravel to installing a water bubbler, 2 flagstone patios, a border, rock and new sod - her crew was amazing. They were organized, professional and didn't mind me asking questions. They did a fantastic job. Project was complete within the time specified and on budget. I LOVE my yard now and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend their services.

Needed to rip out all my grass, yard had sunk, grass was a pain in the butt, very poor access to back yard. Tamara came in, found a way to get bobcats to back yard, took everything out, brought it up to grade, a bunch of stones, shrubs, pines, patio, etc. It looks stunning both in front and back. She's extremely nice to work with, and crew is very professional and very hard working. My wife and I were stunned at how beautiful it turned out, we are very pleased. Couldn't be happier, you won't regret getting her if you can, she's very busy. Book her far in advance and it'll be worth it, you won't have any problems. They even pressure washed my driveway as part of the cleanup. Cheers.
