The Post Hole Diggers

I found this company on Homestars and it was another positive experience (thanks Homestars).

Originally the price was going to be $350 for installing 6 posts. But after I got the gas/water/hydro lines marked, I realized there was a six inch gas main directly under my property line, so I knew it would be much more expensive.

The crew came and discovered extremely hard compacted clay soil in my backyard. They spent about five hours digging these holes when it typically takes an hour. They even broke some of their equipment because the ground was so hard.

The work ended up being much more expensive than they had originally quoted (even for the hand dig) but they were being 100% fair with me. They really worked hard on this job and I feel like I was still getting a really good deal.

The crew was very professional and friendly and I would definitely use them again.

Called the post hole diggers for a quote and a date. When they came they were very patient as one of my neighbours renaged on a commitment. upon returning they put in 30 posts that were set along 230 feet of yard. 11 large trees, multiple bushes, roots , grape vines and concrete farther down. The line on the fence is near perfect. with the winter now done there was no movement of the posts. Very little debris to pick up. Neighbours bring others over to see the fence. Definitely recommended.

Efficient, Effective & Fast - The Post Hole Diggers did a fantastic job installing my cedar posts. Their systems and the setup ensured for a precise placement and alignment within a surprisingly short time. At the completion of the job, the site was thoroughly cleaned... which was important given that I have a difficult neighbour. Everyone at The Post Hole Diggers was very friendly, from the folks that arranged the appointment to the crew that did the work. They are well worth the money; and, I have already booked for April 2016 for another job.

Work done quickly , inexpensivly and professionally.It was 20 posts and not 40. Just saying as the cost would have been skewed.

Fence is awesome, work was well done and very satisfied. Mike and his team work extremely hard to complete the job. They consult with you if there are any difficulties digging or assemble of fence. All around a pleasure doing business.

I was contemplating about renting an augur but couldn't find more than 8 inch for one man and wasn't cheap. I was quite satisfied with their service. They were on time, very professional and patient. I fully recommend their them.

Hey ,I'm Lloyd from forgeart in Waterloo and was contracted to put in a set of gates in Brampton ,not being local forced me to look at getting someone to dig and set four twelve inch postholes for four, four inch square steel posts in cement very accurately ,I contacted Paula at post hole diggers and we arranged a time and price ,3 holes went well but the fourth gave them trouble ,the crew worked until after 10 pm to rectify the problem ,no argument ,no additional fees ,great service !

This company and Mike did a great job! In fact, i had hired a different company prior to them who could not complete the job. Mike had no problem digging the holes we needed and fixed the poor job the other company had done. You could see that Mike is very skilled at what he does. Paula, the assistant, was very helpful and fit me in quickly given i was in a rush. I definitely recommend this company and i am quite picky. I like a job well done. Mike is professional and takes time to make sure all the post will be aligned. Thank you
