Prime Developments

We hired Murray and his team (Pamela and Ryan) at Prime Developments to build our new garage and fence, and we could not be more pleased. Everything was completed within the time frames we agreed upon, and the workmanship has been outstanding. Also outstanding was the communication during the building process. We were constantly kept in the loop on the time frames for each of the phases of completion (i.e. electrical and building inspections etc.). While there were some minor hurdles throughout the build (as will naturally occur), they were easily and quickly resolved. We would not hesitate to recommend them to others, or hire them for another project.

We have a furnace and hot water tank in the middle of our basement. This made the design a bit of a challenge but we created a very unique, functional basement that we love.

I found Prime developments very professional. Ryan was quick to reply to questions and concerns. I was pleased with the furnace and vent cleaning service provided at the end.

I am quite satisfied with my Office Development. After getting numerous overpriced quotes, Prime Developments was able to complete my project at my requested budget. Very professional from the owner to workers and their supervisors. I have no hesitation recommending their work.

Everything that was decided upon was done, it was on time and on budget. They were very accommodating. It was nice to have a calendar of activities so we always knew what was happening and who was in our house. Ryan and Murray have excellent customer service skills. We will use them again for our next project

We are so pleased with the development of our basement by Prime Developments! The entire process was headache free and the final result is stunning. Every step of the project was on time and the completion date was exactly on target. I'd recommend them to anyone and everyone.

They did an excellent job, very professional and hired sub-contractors that paid attention to detail. This was a three car garage that was unusual in shape because of the lot design

We recently had our basement developed by Prime Developments and what was supposed to be an exciting time quickly turned into a something we'd like to forget.

There's so much to say went wrong in the process that I don't think there's enough room on here to detail everything but let me provide some lowlights.

1. We had a lockbox placed for trades to access, but we put a stop to that once we discovered a tradesperson took the key home for the night - Prime assured us that it was never compromised - who would really risk that, so we had to re-key our entire house that evening

2. Paint - Lost track of how many coats the painters put on, even got to the point they were watering down the paint - eventually the painters were replaced but we still cringe looking at the paint job as it looks terrible - suspect we'll need to repaint ourselves in the spring

3. Bathroom Shower Tile - Terrible installation but we had to point it out not Prime - that was eventually ripped out an replaced

4. Drywall - A job that was planned or 1 week (according to there online schedule) took 3 weeks - every excuse in the book why it wasn't done sooner

5. Painters - Forgot to mention that they used our kitchen like it was there own - They didn't know what to say when we found them hanging out inn the kitchen using the microwave - no issue but perhaps ask first

6. So called 5 year Guarantee - Going on just over 2 months and we're still waiting to see the details of what that guarantee is - if a business has been around for a while you would think they could provide that when asked?

7. Selections - The cheapest they could find I guess, we were told they would match what we have in our house now, but that never happened.

8. Drywallers - How could I forget, locks himself out of the house and then forces open a basement window to get back in - who does that

9. Completion Time - Projected started Sept 8th and was to be completed Nov 8th +/- a week - project was completed end of November and we still had to wait until Jan to get someone back in to refinish the shower base - for the 2nd time.

Overall a bad experience, from our perspective they align themselves with trades that do less than quality work and it shows.

I'm sure there's things I've missed but I'm trying to block out as much as I can.

Friendly staff and the team was very helpful and answered my inquiries prompty. Not everything had come out as I had hoped, but it was my first garage building experience and overall was satisfactory.

I hired Prime Developments to build me a garage. I needed someone who could look after the entire project as I work out of town and was unable to be around to supervise. My build was a 20x22 garage with upgrades to the wall height, door height and storage truss addition. They also had a gas line put in for me. This was a complete build including roofing, siding, you name it. Everything except insulation and mounting a heater. The work was done on time as promised and the tradesman ship definitely met my expectations. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone. Murray was great to deal with. He was bang on with his estimate ( not to mention the best price I could find ) and always kept me in the loop of what was happening and when to expect things to be complete. Once the build started Ryan was constantly in touch to let me know where we were sitting and how things were going to progress. Murray and Ryan are an exceptional professional team and I wouldn't hesitate to bring Prime Developments back for more.
