Commissioned Linocut Picture and Custom Framing
We have recently had 2 different pictures framed by the The Art Tree and we could not have been happier with the service and final product we received.
Picture #1: A city scape of Havana Cuba made from a combination of black and white photos and newsprint pictures we purchased in a street market in Havana. Susan-Fae helped us pick out a great textured mat and custom coloured the cut edge of the mat red to match the red accents in the artwork. You just don't get this level of custom framing at many places.
Picture # 2) My wife and I commissioned Susan-Fae to produce a Linocut Print from one of our favourite pictures of our old dog "Judy" after she passed away. She is proudly holding her stick after playing fetch for the last time in her favourite swimming hole off the Bow River in Canmore. You can't tell in the picture because she is sitting in the water, but this was several months after she lost her rear left leg to cancer (osteosarcoma).
For both pictures Susan-Fae was a pleasure to work with during the entire process. We could not be happier with the end result. We are really glad we upgraded to "Museum Glass" that eliminates the usual light reflection you get with normal glass. Definitely worth the upgrade. If you are looking for custom framing with a personal touch, I would highly recommend the Art Tree for all your framing needs.
