Dhc Reno

We contacted DHC reno to replace our 20 year old kitchen and replace the flooring on the main floor - a combination of tile, hardwood, and parkette. Dave advised us on the timeframe for this project and kept the project on schedule. After the new flooring was installed, we'd asked Dave to replace the old baseboards and door trims (additional to original contract). Even with this additional work, he kept to his original timeframe.

The finished kitchen looks fabulous and am happy with DHC Reno's quality of work and would recommend them for your next project. Very professional.

We contracted DHC Reno to replace our existing 20 year old kitchen and all the flooring on the main floor which was a mix of some carpet, tiles and laminate. We had discussed the overall timing of the Project with Dave and were made well aware of the time it would take to complete this project especially due to the many different type of work that is involved in a kitchen replacement and install. Dave and his crew did a fantastic job of first removing of all the old kitchen and flooring and then prepping and installing the flooring, baseboard and the trim. The kitchen was a many staged job with the prep, installing of the kitchen, then waiting for the counter to be installed before the plumbing and finishing could be completed. The finished product looks fabulous and I would highly recommend Dave and his crew for any reno work. The only we did learn is in some cases you need to be patient when things do not go as planned. There were some delays due to the crew getting sick, but that cannot be helped. We are very happy with the finished product. If you want to get a professional and quality work done DHC Reno comes with high recommendations.

One wall opened up with a support beam installed. All baseboards and casings replaced and painted. Walks and ceilings painted. Replaced ceramic tiles with vinyl planking. Removed and replace vanity, mirror and toilet. Open entrance to laundry room. Built island and install one electrical outlet. Reframed main floor closet and installed new doors.

I engaged DHC Reno in a contract for a total renovation of a bathroom in my house, with a major change being the replacement of an existing bath tub by a roomy, tiled shower stall accessible by a sliding glass door plus a new, high-quality toilet seat, over-head flood lights, ventilators, vanity cabinet, mirrored medicine cabinet, vanity lights, etc. Despite some delay in the pre-determined schedule, the job was completed with excellent results, leaving me with a great product well worth the money I paid. The delay, however, was because Frank, being a competent workman, fell sick in the middle of the project and was hospitalized for emergency surgery. During Frank’s absence, Dave, the head of DHC Reno overseeing several renovation projects simultaneously, came and completed the renovation work himself. That was an indication that Dave was a very responsible, professional person that he would do his best to give his customer a satisfying product, a product he himself can be pride of. There were minor flaws in the project, but Dave came back and quickly fixed them. He even fixed flaws left in a renovation project previously conducted by another contractor, and for free.
Base on my experience, I would highly recommend Dave and his company DHC Reno for household renovation projects. You might need to be a bit patient to cope with unexpected delays. But, at the end, you will get a great product well worth your money.

Worked with Dave at DHC Reno to replace hardwood with tile in main floor entrance/closet/powder room as well as master bedroom ensuite bathroom shower, tile, lighting and vanity.

Dave followed through on his quote, and accommodated some additional requests of mine and did not adjust completion timing in spite of these.
The work was completed in 4 weeks and included demolition/removal, plumbing, electrical, tiling and painting. I'm very satisfied with the work and it looks great.

Received a quote after a visit to my house to see the job. Backsplash was shown to Dave and job was confirmed.

Installer Frank (surprise it was sub-contracted out) was not qualified enough to install the herring bone backsplash as it is uneven and spaced incorrectly.

Initial timing of job was 1 day and it took 3. Installer complained about our quoted price and it was reflected in the quality of work.

I had to contact DHC when job was completed to come back and clean it there was thick grout left on that couldn’t be whiped off.

Very disappointed and wish I could rip it off and start over

2nd time hiring DHC Reno. Dave and his carpenter Frank and crew ripped out the entire 2nd floor carpet and replaced with engineered hardwood, replaced all doors, trims and baseboards, and built the staircase by replacing carpeted staircase with new threads and risers, new posts and rails, stained to match the new hardwood, everything looked good. Dave gives good cost-saving advice without compromising quality. Carpentry work is very high quality and very polished, floor boards laid in nice symmetrical pattern, baseboards and trims cut perfectly at every corner, very professionally done. All concerns and odds and ends were addressed, project delivered on time, crew cleaned job site. In addition, Dave also built custom cabinetry for our TV unit, nicely done. Dave is an honest trustworthy contractor and gave regular updates. He and Frank are perhaps the best carpenters and renovators out there in Toronto/Etobicoke, very highly recommended.
