Hydronic Heating Install

Ron and Nuru came to install radiators and a hydronic heating system in my residence. At the start everything seemed good but once the installation began we ran into problems. Here is a list of what was done wrong
- 4 of the 11 rads were put in locations which we had not originally agreed on and they were bigger than we discussed as well. Ron said he needed to buy the bigger and more expensive ones but did not ask me first and then increased the price.
- boiler was dropped and damaged and I was not told about it until I did a closer inspection. Ron did replace the casing after I asked to be replaced.
- when running the pex lines they cut through an electrical wire and did not tell me about it. Could have caused a fire.
- when running the lines they cut into the support studs to make just enough room to push the lines up against them instead of drilling pilot holes and running them through the studs. They said once you but the baseboards back on just make sure you don't put a nail through them. I guess I was just suppose to hope other future owners would do the same.
- Halfway through the installation they increased the price by $2500. Saying the rads cost more and their materials in general were costing more.
- Instead of using elbow / 90 degree joints to run the lines out of the wall or better yet have the lines come up through the floor they just had the pex lines come out of the wall on awkward angles which looks terrible.
- when feeding the lines through the walls they pushed the lines through the insulation which caused big gaps. What should of happened was remove a strip of drywall and insulation and then it would have made it easier for the repairs and for them as well. leaving big gaps of insulation is counter productive when you are trying to heat your house.
- They asked for payments before they were due. They wanted final payment before the job was done and assumed I was going to pay the increased amount.
- they pushed pex lines up against outer walls where they should have drilled pilot holes through the stud instead. Cant insulate against the wall and could cause freezing of the lines.
- They ran pex lines across corners in the bathroom which were not pushed into the walls and left no slack for me to push them in. How am I suppose to put the baseboards back on and drywall?
They wanted me to pay $12460 + $2500 (added on) equaling $14960. I paid $11000 before I had discovered alot of these problems. I then fired them. I asked for money back to pay for the repairs to fix the wiring they cut through, the work to properly refeed some of the pex lines, the cost of insulation repair etc... They said no and said they were doing me a favour by not charging me for the rest of the payment. Ron and Nuru seemed like good people but their work was rushed and not good. Maybe they are good at other things but as far as the hydronic installation and running pex lines they did a terrible job. I would not recommend them. I have to have someone else finish the job and it has cost more than originally priced and more frustration then it should have.

Approximate cost of services:
$11,000.00
