Appliance Repairman

For Kitchenaid over the range microwave that I could not remove to take to my normal repair guy. Repair technician was prompt, and appeared knowledgeable. OK'd $260 to troubleshoot. Verbally quoted $200 for part & installation and said he would order & install within a day or so. Four days later I called their office only to be told that the part was not ordered and that it would cost $956.60 for the repair and that the tech should not have quoted $200. I will replace the unit at less than $900 and will never call them again.
