Our project was a complicated 7-day job that included replacing a leaky flat roof and deck, as well as installing new aluminum siding and soffit. Mark and his team were professional and helpful from the planning stages through to installation and completion. Mark took the time to visit the site several times to support us with the design and selection of materials and finishes. When it came to installation, the team continued to consult with us to ensure there were no surprises. The project was started in line with the target date, the team showed up every day on time, finished on budget and within the estimated time frame, and left a spotless worksite every day. They take pride in their work and have incredible attention to detail. Overall, we appreciate Ontario Downspout’s professionalism and quality of work, and would recommend them with zero reservations!

I have never been as happy with a home improvement company as I have been with Ontario Downspout Service. They did my eaves, soffits, and downspouts a few years ago, and I was so impressed with them that they were the first and only company I wanted to do my roof when the shingles needed replacing this year after springing leaks over the winter. ODS came out immediately to do emergency repairs, even though we were not yet under contract to do the roof in the spring/summer.

My roof is complicated in that half of it is peaked, and the other half is flat, like many homes around the GTA. I wanted to do metal for both parts---so as to never have to think about re-roofing again in my lifetime---but Mark (the son in this father-son company), after spending significant time to investigate the best metal configuration to meet my desire to have a long-lasting roof with space for a lot of insulation underneath, wisely advised that metal for the flat part would be a very expensive ordeal, with probably not much gain over a traditional flat roof given the quality of products and guarantee ODS provides for flat roofs. Despite a complex metal roof over the flat half probably gaining him a huge profit, he put my needs first; that is not something that can be said about a lot of companies. So, I went with metal shingles on the peaked half and a traditional flat roof on the flat half, but raised up 4" to insert a lot of extra insulation since the top floor on that side has issues of being very hot during the summer, despite the ceiling being spray-foamed from the inside.

As with the downspouts, Mark and his team were the picture of professionalism during the 4.5 days needed to do this job. They were courteous to us and our neighbors, kept us apprised of their progress and work plans (which were delayed due to unlucky weather), took pride in their craftsmanship, and thoroughly cleaned up at the end of every day. The roof looks fantastic. The metal shingles look like heavily textured high-end regular shingles as opposed to the basic flat panels that most metal roofs have, and the scalloped look of the end caps is gorgeous architectural touch. The flat roof and its 4" of insulation immediately resolved the heat issues on that half of the house.

Every experience I have had with Mark and ODS has been wonderful. They are honest and direct, and don't leave you wondering if you are being taken for a ride. As a handyman and engineer, I know my way around home construction and repairs, and ODS has always treated me and my questions with respect, and never been condescending or patronizing, which is unfortunately more than I can say for many other home reno companies I have worked with (perhaps because I am a woman). I have enthusiastically recommended ODS to all of my friends and neighbors, and that is not something I do often.

I am very satisfied with the work the Ontario Downspout Services did for us. Mark and his team are highly knowledgeable regarding all their work. They were timely and punctual willing to accommodate our personal needs. They opened up a trench through the cement on our back patio for the downspout to allow me to use my walker to navigate safely. This was hard work and they did it willingly. I will highly recommend Ontario Downspout to anyone needing their services.

Mark and is team at ODS were excellent to work with and I would recommend them to anyone looking for an exterior contractor. ODS provided a timely quote with a contract and held true to their word on when they would start the job! They worked to match the colours and design of my home very well and most importantly they ensured that they water flow-off from my roof was directed safely to avoid flooding. Shortly after their install was complete, the city was hit with heavy rains and I was SO grateful that I had hired such a professional team to handle this work :)

Excellent company to deal with. Knowledgeable and took the time to understand the project from the start. Unfortunately, it took a long time for the project to get started, perhaps from COVID, but it was also frustrating to get an accurate approximate date set. The work itself was done professionally, accurately and completed within the expected time frame, however. The work site was almost spotless upon completion. Would give 5/5 stars except for the delay in starting the project and frustrations in obtaining an accurate date for the project. Would highly recommend to others but I hope this company will improve their communication to customers and logistics regarding starting the actual work on their projects.

I can't say enough positive things about Harvey, Mark and the Ontario Downspout Team. We were severely impacted by the flooding that took place in Toronto and were looking to disconnect our downspouts from the storm drains and increase the capacity of our eavestrough. My first call with Harvey was so informative and helpful and he genuinely wanted to help us. Mark and Harvey came out to our home to finalize the details, they recognized that we were looking to get the job done as soon as possible and offered to take care of the job the very next day (weekend morning) to put our minds at ease. The entire team did a fantastic job. It looks great and you can tell they're pros and really care about their work. I would highly recommend Ontario Downspout to family and friends. I had the guys from ODS come out to replace the roof and eavestrough on our old Toronto home. We had a few quotes and decided to go with ODS as they were the most personable and trusted out of the bunch. They came as scheduled and completed the project on time. Also answered any questions or concerns we had with detailed explanations. Would definitely refer them to anyone looking for a high quality roofing crew!

Toronto got hit by a massive storm. Shingles were torn off my roof and I had a serious leak in my guest room. I called Mark and sent him a picture. Within 5 minutes, he had sent me a contract and scheduled me in for the next morning. He checked the weather forecast and was willing to come right away if there had been even a 1% chance that it was going to rain. He said he was going to be at my house by 8am the next morning and he was there early and starting work at 7:30am. Mark completed the repairs within an hour and showed me the completed project. Everything was done to perfection. The professional who recommended Mark to me told me that “I would trust him with my house.” Mark is professional, reliable, easy to work with, and inspires confidence. Use this company. You won’t regret it.

Being the best has been the historical output from the company and on our job the company exhibited excellence throughout the project. Mark and the staff as a team exhibited excellence. I would highly recommend them and will be having them return for regular maintenance to ensure our roof and eavestrough continue to perform perfectly.
