I have an older water heater that wasn't giving me consistent hot water. I knew issues existed before we purchased the house such as that the immersion rod was rusting out. The service guy showed up fast which was great. One of the first things he said to me after he realized the water heater was electric was “I’m not really familiar with this kind”. That instills major confidence in your customers when you call yourselves experts. After trying to find the make and model on whatever look-up you guys have and not finding it he continues to play around with the volt meter, my breaker panel and takes the panels off the heater. Half an hour later he tells me it’s not the heater at all it’s some other box that’s attached beside it on the wall. He couldn't tell me what that box did or why it was there but it was in the circuit to the water heater. Obviously he couldn't find the part to just replace it so he gave me quotes for a brand new electric and gas tank and after paying the service fee, he left. I since have done some shopping around and have found that you charge way more than your competition. I’m not talking about Joe Blow’s Plumbing Heating and Air either. So when I actually go to buy a new one to have it installed it will not be through you. If this isn't enough, I received junk mail yesterday from them offering service packages. When I called the London office to ask to be taken off their customer list the lady who answered the phone became incredibly rude. She wouldn't let me answer her questions before she cut me off and demanded the answer. You need to actually let me give you the address before you yell at me for not giving you an address or phone number attached to the account. Then she just hung up. No thank you, have a good day, why, what’s wrong, sorry we couldn't meet your needs or even a good-bye for that matter. I work in customer service and this is not how you treat people. You certainly will not be getting my referral. I can also guarantee this will never be posted on your reviews because it makes your company look bad. I know how that works too.
- Approximate cost of services:
- $110.00
- What could this company do to improve their services?
- More training for your service people. I'm certain I'm not the only one with an electric water heater. Be more concerned with customer satisfaction - find a receptionist that isn't as rude.
- Any advice to offer fellow homeowners facing a similar project?
- Try calling another company. There are lots out there.
