This was my first time hiring someone to clean my home. I was unsure and I like you, came to Homestars to find someone based on reviews. I called Rent-A-Wife (despite my dislike for the company name) and I'm so glad I did. We arranged for Ava to come to my house two days later. Just in time for guests arriving the following day. Ava was great! I asked her to give my kitchen and bathroom some love and it looked like it did when we moved in 5 years ago. It was long over due and she took the time and paid extra care to what I needed to be done. I paid up front over the phone so I was able to leave Ava to do what she does well. She was pleasant and I'm absolutely going to call again to have them help me out when it gets away from me.

I'm a single guy with a 1 bedroom flat in a house. I have used Rent-A-Wife several times in the past, always with good results. Usually I call last minute so have had several different cleaners. Kris, the owner has been friendly and helpful and asked the right questions as to what I am needing. The last time, I had Ava who I didn't meet, but I left a key for her with a neighbour.
I have 3 cats that shed copious amounts of fur and dirty footprints everywhere (they go outdoors, in and out, constantly). There was a bit of clutter which needed to be organized in order to clean.
I am writing this recommendation because everything on the list was completed - vacuuming, floor washing, dusting, bathroom sink and toilet, kitchen counters, stovetop, fridge doors including dirty magnetic seals, and wiping down window ledges.
I arrived home at the end of the day to find my place peaceful and calm and spotless. Even the dirty light switches in the kitchen & bathroom had been cleaned as well as the outside glass on the aquarium (paw prints due to one curious cat). The clutter had been organized and many things put back where they belong. The skittish cat was sleeping in her favourite spot on the back of the sofa.
I would recommend Rent-A-Wife because I feel like I can trust that what I have requested will be completed, and always with excellent results. I have enough stress in my life with long work days and when I find people that can reduce my stress, I am a happy camper. 10 out of 10!

Laurel and her team were efficient and professional, and rates are very reasonable. Laurel followed up to ensure that things had been done to my satisfaction. No worries - Margaret and Polly had exceeded expectations! I look forward to having Rent-A-Wife clean my house on a regular basis.

Out of all the people I contacted for cleaning. Rent-A-Wife got back to me in a timely manner and worked around my schedule. Other places told me I had to leave work because there hours were the same as my work hours. She showed up on time and there was follow through on how the cleaning went. She was even willing to ask if it was what we wanted or if she had missed something. Very helpful!

I've used Rent-a-Wife for 20 years for various projects and every time I've found them to be excellent. My needs vary each time and each time the work is done well and carefully.The people who come are very nice, pleasant, punctual and hard-working.I heartily recommend Rent-a-Wife.

Cleaning person Jane was at my place on time and she cleaned everything very good and quick, considering how much stuff was there, i would be glad to recommend them

I found rent a wife online and they had a great 3 hour cleaning special for $79.
Jane came into my home and gave it the type of cleaning it had never had before! She deep cleaned every spot of my house-she cleaned in places that had never been cleaned before she also rearranged things so that my living room looked larger. I was VERY happy with the service and will be booking with them again.

I was in a hurry to look for a cleaning service for a condo I was about to move into within the week and had called many places; Kris was only 1 of 3 that had got back to me promptly and had the availability.
Pros: Cleaner was very punctual (5 min early), she focused on the few things that needed special attention, patio windows were spotless, stove had all the grease removed, any debris that was left from previous owners were removed....well done
Cons: there were still some stains left in the showers

Overall, Ava did a good job and provided above average cleaning services.
