I don't usually write reviews but feel a responsibility to warn people of the predatory pricing tactics this company employs. I have read a few other reviews and see that I am not the only victim of their pricing process. I have employed many contactors over the years and this is the first time I have been a victim of this. I contacted this company a couple of months ago to fix some leaks in my pipes and my kitchen faucet. Three people showed up. One of whom was the estimator. The 2 technicians patiently. waited while the estimator went through a lengthy assessment of the pipe situation and described a filter system that I would benefit from in addition to fixing the pipes. I repeatedly told him that I was not in a position to afford a filter system but he insisted on explaining it to me and writing up a quote for it, another plan which involved paying them an annual fee for an upgraded level of service and finally, the work I had invited them in my home to fix. It was a working day for me and I had to get onto a Zoom meeting. When he shared the cost of the 3 estimates, as predicted, I couldn't afford the two pricier options. I signed off on the cheapest option which was approx $1700. It was probably double what I should have paid. Although they did a good job and their technicians were polite, I would never trust this company again. When I sent them payment, I told them so. They were very defensive. Please be cautious. They over estimate the cost of the work and, if you feel under pressure like I did, you sign off. The overestimate protects and works for them, not for you though. Please be aware.

The work was done with extreme care and the technicians kept everything clean and tidy. We were given a couple of different choices with price options and could choose those that suited us. We will definitely rely on this company when plumbing issues arise in the future.

I was in a rush to find a plumbing service to unclog my kitchen sink and happened upon "Preferred Plumbing" through a google search. Without doing my due diligence and reading reviews I agreed to a service call for $129+hst.

I had a similar experience to others who have written negative reviews.

Raphie (owner) and his crew showed up promptly and surveyed the situation. He gave me 4 options ranging from $679 -$2300. I was shocked and told him so. He talked about the cost of doing business, post covid and the price of supplies. (my job required no materials) I could have walked away and lost the service call fee but instead I chose the cheapest option, snaking the kitchen drain, which I called for in the first place.

It was stressed to me that this was the band-aid solution and would only have a 30 day warranty. The job of snaking the sink took almost less time than it took for Raphie to write up my 4 options. Pretty expensive hourly rate. I have since done some investigation and feel the fair price for the service would have been $300-$500. Raphie and staff were all very pleasant but why not.... they are smiling all the way to the bank!

We paid $145 just to get quote and decided that the 3 quotes given were outrageously high. We wanted 3 taps with pop up drains and shutoffs installed that we had already bought. The price for installation would have worked out to be approximately $500 for each bathroom sink with easy access through large empty cabinets.
Huge upsell pressure to do additional work that was not required. Ended up calling in a person referred to by a friend who charged a fraction of the quote plus did it in under an hour.

Hi Rafi, Today's visit by your staff was exceptional. Firstly, it was a courtesy visit at no charge! That is an amazing service which builds customer loyalty. But secondly, the staff you sent were really wonderful. I already knew Dominic from previous encounters - he is a great representative of your brand. And with him was Jonah (Yonah) - another great representative. Dominic and Jonah are fantastic ambassadors that build customer relations. They bring courtesy (- Dominic called me before arrival to tell me when he was 24 minutes from my home!), trade skills and attention to detail. I am writing to say thanks. You never know to believe the reviews on google as now a days they can generated by AI or by bots but the reviews for Preferred Plumbing were positive so I decide to give them a try.

To start they were to be my house on a Wednesday at 9:00am and 5 minutes to 9:00 the person from Preferred calls me on my cell to say they are running a few minutes late and apologized, The person said he would be happy to bring me a coffee. Who does that?
They arrived at 9:05 am and promptly assessed what needed to be done. They gave me 3 options and I choose one. The work was done quickly promptly and to budget - 3 out of 3. The plumbing technicians were courteous, polite and efficient - again, 3 out of 3. Can't say enought positive things about the 2 technicians who were at my house. They will be the first company I call when and if I have any other plumbing issues in my house. Highly recommend you use this company and this is a legit review! Andrew

From start to finish, it was an absolute pleasure working with Preferred Plumbing. They were professional, punctual and took the time to answer all our questions.
They completed the work efficiently and the end result exceeded our expectations.

Daniel and Mario were extremely thorough and helpful. They were prompt to arrive at the time scheduled, never rushed, and fixed our leak. They also took the time to assess other areas of the house and provided sound advice. We would recommend them and Preferred Plumbing for any plumbing needs.
