Roof Maintenance

I recently bought a 16 year old house with ashphalt shingle that is almost reached its end of life. I approached Rockyview for a quote to replace the roof. The lady on the phone was very helpful and pleasant to talk to. Then Justin responded to my inquiry promptly and showed up at my house the next day. After inspection he fixed the leaks, replaced the shingles that got blown away, and applied clear scellant to the spots on the shingles that had no granules on, so I can wait for another year before replacing the roof. Thank you so much for your great service!

We were very pleased with the service that we received from Rockyview Roofing Inc.. Justin went out of his way to make sure that we were happy with our selection of roof tiles. He dropped off many samples and explained the differences about our choices very clearly. He was prompt with the estimate and again went through it thoroughly with us before we committed to the work.

The crew was friendly and extremely tidy and made sure that all materials were put in the skip at day’s end.

Justin followed up with an inspection of the completed work and returned immediately when we had problems with our stove exhaust fan. He and my husband were able to fix the problem and Justin reassured us that we could contact him again if needed. We would certainly recommend this company.

roof

We needed a new roof this year and after several quotes decided to go with Justin from Rockyview Roofing. From initial consult to final handshake Justin and his crew were polite & professional, the job began and ended within the agreed timelines and there were no 'surprise' costs. Justin put our concerns/comfort and timelines first and foremost. At job completion you could not tell that a crew was in and work was done, we are really happy with everything and feel great that we chose Rockyview Roofing, thanks again Justin!

HI Justin,

From your professionalism and knowledge when you did our roofing quote, to the job the crew did, your service and work was top notch. The old shingles were stripped, repairs made to the roof, including our badly constructed valley, and a new weather tight membrane and shingles installed on our home and detached garage. All done in less than 2 days and on budget! We commend you on your tight supervision and follow up at the job site, that’s the way a business should be managed. Thanks again and we wish you continued success, Darryl and Sherri May 18 2014

Roof Repair

Last December, my roof started leaking. After spending weeks being put off by another, larger roofing company, ( that supposedly offered emergency service ) a representative of said large company came, spent four minutes on my roof and said there was nothing to fix. Leak probably a one off, probably won't leak again I was told.

It leaked again the following week. When I called that company back, I could not get a commitment for another visit.

I called Justin with Rockyview Roofing at 4 pm and even though it was late in the day with sunlight soon to be an issue, he stopped off at my house that very day, inspected the roof, and gave me a verbal report over the phone. When I gave him the go ahead, he went to work and long story short, he fixed the leak.

He also spent some extra time on my roof addressing other potential problem areas at no additional charge. I have waited five months to assess his work and I can say that the leak has not come back. Justin was professional and straightforward to deal with.

Roof Repair

Justin, the owner of Rockyview Roofing, succeed where many others failed. When I first noticed a substantial amount of snow in my attic in January 2012, I successively talked to another roofer, a home inspector, and finally a roofing inspector (this one costing big $) with none of them providing me with any good suggestion of the cause muchless how to fix it. When the snow came was back inside again late this winter, I decided to come poking around on HomeStars and found Rockview Roofing and all of its great reviews. Justin was prompt and professional about coming out to site and immediately identified that the original roofer had used exhaust vents above my unvented soffits instead of the intakes that should have been used. As he doesn't regularly use the models installed on my roof he went out of his way to contact the manufacturer to determine if there was a retrofit kit available for these vents or another solution that they could suggest. There wasn't and they couldn't so Justin gave me a very reasonable price to come and change out all of the vents to intakes the he recommended and while he was up there doing the work also undertook a bunch of other minor repairs to bolster the overall integrity of the roof.

Roofing

I was very pleased with how everything worked out with Rockyview Roofing. Everything was priced as planned, the workers were clean, efficient, and showed up when they were supposed to. They were also very good about communicating with me on the use of different tiles and giving me updates on the job’s progress.

Roofing

The experience we had with Rockyview Roofing was overall pretty good. They worked in a timely manner and were pleasant to deal with. However, we have had to call them back twice as they ripped off a strip of the window when removing our cable wire and we also had some problems with leakage.

Company Response

Hi Tammy,

I was not aware that you had issues with leaking and a broken window.

I also don't recall going back to fix anything at your home.

I just talked to your husband Hal and asked him what the window and leaking was all about. He told me that there is a corner in your new aluminum eavestrough that has a small leak that a corner of the window frame is cracked. I asked him to email me the pictures. I will reseal the corner of the eavestrough in the next few days and see at the same time how I can fix the crack in the window exterior moulding.

It looks like this review was collected by phone by the staff at homestars.com and your review got misunderstood/written by them.

I will contact you in a few days when everything is perfect.

Justin

--------May 28 update------
Hi tammy, I was at your home today and did not find the leak in the eavestrough corner. There was a lot of pine needles in it. I think the leak was caused by damming which resulted in overflowing. I cleaned them and everything seems to be ok now. For the window, I did see a piece of damaged J channel (vinyl) on the right top of the window. This was probably damaged when we removed the old wood soffit boards and installed new vented aluminum soffits on your home. I have added it to my service list and we will change it. --------June 10 Update------Yesterday, we took apart the vinyl siding around the window and replace the damaged J channel and re-installed the siding. Everything is completed.
