I never write reviews but Doru did such a fantastic job I felt I had to do it. He was always on time and did excellent work. We were looking for someone that was very detail oriented at a fair price and Doru was refered to us by our designer and he delivered as promised on budget, on time to highest standards.

A neighbour recommended Doru from Heptagon to me for my sunroom renovation and I'm so glad to have found Doru. I knew the look I was going for (in my mind) and had a few inspirational photos for Doru to work from. Doru totally got it and I’m so pleased with the result. He covered the ceiling in bead board, planked the walls, prepared the floor for the electricians to install an in-floor heating system and then tiled the floor, built a storage/seating bench and painted everything. Also, because my house is 105 years old, Doru had to be creative with a lot of the trim work around windows and doors. He managed to tie everything together beautifully. Doru has a great eye for design and had many great ideas and suggestions. He is extremely punctual, professional, friendly, hardworking, trustworthy, tidy, and does beautiful work. He also works very quickly. Thank you Doru!

The owner of this company is a European trained cabinetmaker. He works with precision. He cares about quality, strength, aesthetics and manages to maintain very reasonable prices. My only problem is that I know that the this honest decent man under charges for his hard work. This cabinetmaker is a very fine person.

Doru did an excellent job installing drywall. He was friendly, professional, and did a great job. I would highly recommend him, and will definitely hire him again in the future.

Doru was very professional in all aspect of the work. Suggested better quality materials which turned out great. Was surprised in how quick the work was done. Finishing touches were done on site. We are very pleased with the results.

I called Doru to do some jobs in my apartment(install shelves ,hang some pictures, etc...He did a good job, we were very happy how everything looked in the end. Doru is a professional in everything he does, and I recommend him with pleasure!!!!!!

I worked with Doru for several jobs. I will recommend him because he is an outstanding professional and I was impressed of several qualities that he possesses: clockwork punctual, smart and flexible and never the less a clean freak :) he is sweeping and cleaning the job site almost every hour. There are more good things to say but I will stop here and if you want to find them out just deal with Heptagon !

Doru Valer (Heptagon) was instrumental to the success of our full home renovation. I acted as my own project manager for this project, and Doru was easily the best member of my team to work with.

Once our house was completely gutted, Doru did all the framing, subfloor and structural reinforcement (2 floors plus basement). Once mechanicals (plumbing, electrical, HVAC), underpinning, spray foam insulation and drywall were put in, Doru returned to install baseboards, crown moldings, wainscoting and our kitchen cabinets. He also built us custom cabinetry, including a fireplace mantel and surrounding shelves, a banquette with storage, and a large entertainment centre. Doru also does drywall, but was not available to do our large job at the time we needed him to. I regret not being able to use him for the drywall, as the quality of the work from the other sub-contractor we used was not nearly as high as what I saw from Doru.

After we moved back into our house, Doru has not hesitated to return to help us with small jobs. I'm sure it takes him more time and gas than it's worth to return and help us with these minor things, but I think he does it as he is committed to providing the best service possible to his clients.

Doru was always on time for appointments (usually early) and worked hard to ensure he completed tasks on the agreed upon timelines. A typical day for Doru was from 8am to 4pm, and he took very few breaks. I was always amazed at his progress at the end of each day.

I would not hesitate hiring Doru again in the future. HIs attention to detail, good advice and excellent work ethic was a huge part of the success of our project.
