Hired him to build an addition to a commercial property. Things started off promptly but quickly fell apart. Work was done without permits, unsafe working conditions, had my site closed down various times by city inspectors. Failed to show up for weeks at a time. Unqualified workers. Asked for "deposits" for items that i later found out were never paid for. Had building suppliers place a lien on my property as he was not paying for his supplies. Fired him, but he still managed to walk away with $50K in "deposits". Then had to spend thousands in repairing his shoddy workmanship.
