Update Mar 2018 - We noticed after the job was completed in the fall of 2016 that our pool was very murky. As the weather was getting cold, we decided to close the pool for the winter. When we attempted to open the pool in 2017, we realized that rocks and soil had gotten into the pool and after many attempts to rectify the situation; we called a pool company who had to flush our skimmer line as rocks were stuck in the line. We called Steve as the rocks and soil got into the pool as a result of the digging that took place as part of replacing our retaining wall and fence.
Steve's initial response was to pay for half of the pool company cost but in subsequent discussions stated that it was our fault. He then offered to reduce the cost of our next job. We did not accept his offer as we have no intentions of dealing with a company who do not take accountability for issues that arise. I would not recommend this company.

Absolutely great service from Jay and his team. Jay was extremely nice and helpful and allayed all the concerns of my elderly mother-in-law about renewing her driveway and path to the front door. Jay even took her to the yard to choose stones for the work. I live a long way away, but he kept me fully informed before and during the job and everything went exactly according to plan. We even communicated by FaceTime so that I could see the work and discuss it all with him. Would recommend Jay without reserve.

Jay and his crew have looked after our property for the last few years all year round with outstanding service. We have had extensive work done from our front to back yard. We contracted Green Side Up Contracting to extend our privacy fence to the property mid-line, and to do the landscaping which consisted of supplying and installing: 1) weeping bed at the rear fence line, 2) cedar trees along the rear fence line and 3) yew trees for the front concrete planter. Jay and his team have been excellent throughout the entire process. From the prompt and efficient communication with his administrative assistant Ada, to meeting with Jay, who is a very likeable, honest and informative person, the process was smooth and the expectations were clear. The service delivery was also excellent. Jordan and his team built a beautiful modern fence and even replaced the few panels that were damaged during the concrete construction phase of our project at no extra cost to us. We will be working with Jay and his team in the spring to improve the appearance of our lawn and to maintain our landscaping. We recommend Jay and his team at Green Side Up Contracting without any hesitation. Excellent service and very reasonable pricing.
