AFG Heating and Cooling

I found out from a friend of mine about AFG and gave them a call. First time they came around and did an inspection and found out that my units were not working as they should and I had my landlord get his guys out and sure enough a motor needed replacing in the roof top unit. I followed up with AFG after the units were fully functioning and they came around and did a full inspection and replaced all the filters and whatever was needed. They were on time, thorough and courteous. I recommend them highly.

I called for furnace maintenance because my furnace was making some loud noises. Rafi came out the next day, showed me everything he did while he did it, and let me know my options for the future. Great service, great price. I would highly recommend them.

Recently moved into a historic property with a boiler type heating system. Found AFG on Homestars and gave them a call. Explained the situation and that I had no previous experience with this type of system. They walked me through the basics over the phone and then we scheduled an appointment for a service call. Met with Rafi who was very professional and thorough. I tagged along as he serviced the main unit and all the rads throughout the house. Explained the process every step of the way. Got it working properly and explained some issues that needed attention. Overall I was extremely happy with the experience and the company. They took the time to talk to me as home owner and not a sales target. I will be calling them again to service the cooling system and have them consult on the HVAC portion of the renovations.

Rafi is a totally outstanding, honest person who excels at his job. We called on him in midst of closing on our 100 year old home. Insurance was requiring us to have the boiler inspected and serviced. We called on 5 top rated Heating companies from Homestars. 4 out of 5 didn't even check if the current boiler was functioning and said we needed to replace at a cost of $13,000. Rafi came in and ACTUALLY checked the boiler, said it did need some TLC and that the emissions were high. He was hopeful that with a good cleaning it could run ok. Rafi provided us with a letter for our insurance company, came at the scheduled time, and after cleaning the boiler, it is running perfectly and we have excellent heat in our home. He takes safety very very seriously and was very patient in answering our million questions. He also bled our rads and adjusted the pressure. I give Rafi my absolute top recommendation! Call this guy, you won't regret it.

Our furnace stopped working a few nights ago and we were desperate to have it up and running again. We called AFG and they had someone come out the next day. Fosi was our technician - he was punctual, polite & professional. He immediately diagnosed and fixed the issue. He was honest with his assessment and gave us some helpful tips for the future. The charge was very reasonable and we were so happy to have heat back so quickly. We will definitely use AFG again in the future.

I found the listing for AFG on HomeStars when I needed someone to respond quickly. Water was flowing from the pressure relief valve of my boiler, followed by no heat whatsoever. It is not easy to find someone with the expertise and willingness to work on a boiler so I was pleased to see that Rafi does so. Rafi called back within a short time after I left a message and came to inspect the situation that same day. He determined that parts were needed as well as a variety of maintenance procedures and arranged to come the next day to complete the work which included draining the expansion tank, cleaning the boiler, replacing/repairing several valves, bleeding and restarting the system. It is all working perfectly now. I very much appreciated Rafi's quick response, his obvious knowledge, his willingness to explain what he was doing and why and the fact that he did not try to sell me a new boiler. I will definitely call Rafi for the annual tune-up next year and for any problems that might arise in the meantime. I would highly recommend AFG to anyone who wants prompt, honest, professional service.

I had a potential gas leak the first winter snow. I was worried that I was not going to be able to get a contractor in and was also worried that I was going to be charged an arm and a leg. I found Rafi on this website Homestars, reviewed the reviews and knew that I found a good contractor so I called immediately and left a message. Rafi called me immediately the next day. He was very pleasant on the phone and found him very knowledgeable. He scheduled me in to come the same day. He came serviced my furnace..thankfully there was no gas leak. I really appreciate Rafi's honesty. Being in sales in CPG, I really appreciate honesty and great service. Unfortunately not everyone provides this in business. I highly recommend Rafi and AFG Heating and Cooling for all your Heating and Cooling needs. I am also glad that I found a trusting contractor for my mother to work with for her home.
