Keith has completed 3 home inspections for my family in the last 4 years. 2 of those were under very tight time frames as we had 5 days to satisfy our home inspection conditions for our purchase offers. Both were in winter weather but each time he spent the full four hours thoroughly inspecting the entire home, even our small starter townhouse. As he completed the inspection he would give running updates and answer any further questions I had, even if they weren't specifically part of the inspection. He gave preliminary reports on the same day and full reports came shortly after with easy to read charts, estimates for getting each aspect of the work done and of course thoroughly detailed explanations with pictures. He takes the time to shovel snow out of the way to inspect what he needs to and even crawls under bay windows to check for proper caulking!

Even our real estate agent had not come across an inspector as thorough as him through all of his clients. We have referred him along already to friends and family who have also been very satisfied with his honesty, knowledge and hard work.

Having learnt from my past experience, I would never bother using an inspector referred by agents because of the conflict of interest. I got Keith’s name highly recommended by many home buyers in a Chinese forum in GTA, and some commenting that their agents didn’t like Keith but those home buyers did. My gut feeling told me that I would go with him.

Keith did three inspections for our house hunting. We backed out the first two contracts due to water damage, leakage on the structure wall, leakage of AC, unprofessionally finished electrical and plumbing work, and unprofessional finished ductwork.

Keith arrived right on time, and was honest, thorough and detailed, showing great patience as he spent four hours around looking for defects of the houses while explaining to us. He shoveled snow in order to see the structure walls. The inspection reports were provided within a day and were very detailed with pictures.

Keith did an awesome job of inspecting this 24 years old house we recently interested.

He did a throughout inspection and communicated verbally on site and detail report next day.

He found a long list of defects needed to be fixed and group them in priority to help us estimate the budget and plan the fix timing. The inspection assured us of the house foundation and structure, which ultimately led to our purchase.

Strong recommendation Keith. I am so lucky to have him for 30 days home inspection. Before the inspection, the builder, even my friends, told me that 30 days inspection is waste of monty. While I was shocked by the check result. Some structure issues builder would never told you during PDI and you can't feel/find it after you living in for a long time, but those issue will erosion of house silently and low house value. What's the impact, what's the correct way, Keith is so patient to explain every defect's to us. And he also did home work to search support doc, sample and build code for us to talk with builder. Eg. Exterior stucco.
Early detection and early settlement. I will invite Keith to do my 1 year inspection also.

Keith is the best. I was lucky to have him for the 1 year Tarion warranty inspection on a 1 year new home I bought from the original owner. Before the inspection, I was wondering whether it was necessary to spend money hiring someone to do the 1 year inspection as everything looked just fine to my ignorant eyes. After spending more than 4 hours inspecting my house (he even climbed up to my attic to check the insulation), Keith found several warranty items and prepared the warranty claim form for me. Builder eventually fixed most of the items on the list (and yes, including topping up the insulation too). If those items were not uncovered by Keith and I had to pay for those repairs myself, the cost would easily be 3 or 4 times the inspection fee. Hiring Keith was the best decision I made in the entire home buying process. Keith also offered me his expert advice and help in my dealings with Tarion on some outstanding items. He re-inspected some repaired items for a 2nd time with no cost and provided me his professional advice on my next steps to resolve the warranty issues with Tarion. He also gave me a lot of advice on how to maintain a house on regular basis. He is very knowledgeable, honest, sincere and professional. I would recommend Keith's service to anyone with no reservation.

I know some other inspectors who charged less, but then service would be 2/3 or 1/2 of what you should get... would you rather spend 100 less for your 6 or 7 digits worth of house?
One more thing, Keith is very experienced, has sharp eyes. :)
