Studio Z Design

We hired Studio Z to design a main floor/basement addition and working with Zuzanna was great. She presented multiple ideas and lay outs so that we could take our favourite parts of each and then combined them to a final drawing that was perfect and custom for our family. She has a great sense of space and light, modernizing while respecting an old house and we loved the final plan!

Zuzanna was involved in the 3 stages of the renovation which occurred over an 8 year period. She was involved in space planning, contractor and supplier recommendations, finishes and interior design to name a few.

She brought a high degree of professionalism and enthusiasm to all 3 projects.

Having never worked with an architect or undergone a major renovation before, Zuzanna made the entire process a smooth as possible.

Zuzanna Krykorka provided fabulous drawings for our main floor renovation. We had spent months trying to envision how to maximize the light and space on the main floor: she created designs that achieved this beautifully. Her drawings were also so detailed that, when we did hire a contractor, we could feel confident that every aspect of the renovation would be attended to. As well, Zuzanna helped guide us through the renovation, providing options for various interior design choices (e.g., lighting, paint colour, fabric choice, bathroom and kitchen fixtures). And finally, but no less importantly, she did weekly on-site inspections with the contractor to ensure that the work was adhering to her drawings. This enabled us to go away on holidays during the summer, knowing that the renovation was on track and proceeding according to our expectations.
