Spray foam insulation

Please beware of EcoFit! Jim there is a very smooth and calm speaker but do not be fooled like myself. We are building a new house in Toronto and there is a building inspection for insulation. Jim's EcoFit did not pass the building inspector's inspection, which is very basic. After repeatedly promising to come back and finish the work properly for more than a week, he no longer takes my call, neither has he shown up to do the work. I WILL NEVER use ECOFIT again. Be aware that Jim will not show up for work without being paid ahead of time but after being paid, he will most likely delay the work repeatedly. Picture below of gaps in insulation.

Approximate cost of services:
$20,000.00

Company Response

I'm disappointed to read this review from Nashid. To clarify, we were the second spray foam company to be hired ( the first left with truck and crew after meeting with Nashid). It's not to say she is difficult but knowledgeable and some less knowledgeable individuals may be intimidated. So,we came in to fit an already tight time line.We were hired to spray and install batts and vapor barrier. The agreement was very clear that seeing Nashid and her G.C were supplying all materials it needed to be on site as we would co-ordinate work for both spray and batt on different floors. 1st day and 2nd day of spray no material on site as promised ( I had extra workers on site and paying for them) so we had to delay the job by one or two days but it turned into over two weeks before the material arrived. Our schedule now was overlapped with other work as a result of the delay. We pressed on. We then completed all insulation and rather than have the insulation inspected Nashid decided to do a blow test first that further delayed the time line by a few days. Nashid also asked if I could attend the blow test that was scheduled on a Saturday. I did attend for 2.5 hours on my own time to appease her.The following week Nashid had the inspection and there were some deficiencies that required some attention ( it happens on occasion) but it is not typical. I explained that as a result of the delays at the moment the schedule is full I needed to clear out some work and I will tend to it as quickly as possible. From start of project to nearing the end I received 53 texts 25+ calls and 20 emails( most of which I responded to). Lastly, we were contracted to install 2" roxul in ceiling and because of an error made by Nashid G.C we were then asked to install 5" roxul for the same price. It was getting more challenging but we were still prepared to see it through.Unfortunately it has become apparent as a result of her review that we can not satisfy Nashid's timeline and expectations. I regret that very much. Regarding the characterization that I am a smooth talker and somehow putting a negative connotation implying less than truthful is unnecessary and I wont dignify the accusation any further than I already have. For the record there is a balance owing and I have made Nashid aware that we are available to complete the work if she would like us to do so.
