Eavestroughs

I couldn’t be more pleased with the service and results of my eavestroughs. I have had a constant leak in our basement for about 12 years. Literally called every service that we could think of to fix this problem from chimney to foundation. All claiming they found the problem and could fix it. But still the leak and a bad flood remained. I then decided to call twinpeaks to replace my roof and I mentioned the leak which I had just figured I was going to live with since another roofing company said it wasn’t my roof.
Max instantly knew it was the eavestroughs which I tried to dispute since I had already add that looked at.
I decided he was the expert and replace them to my shock and amazement it’s completely fixed. We've had several huge storms and not a drop of rain in the basement.
I’m seriously over the moon happy and wish I just called twin peaks first. Would have saved me a lot of time, money, headache and cost of replace floor in basement.
Thankyou To Max and his team!

Company Response

Hi Kathleen,

I'm sorry you had to go through this, this is where a good general contractor would be beneficial to you. Specific tradespeople have "Tunnel" vision if you will, and can only offer their particular service. In this case by fixing the foundation, it was a brandade rather than getting to the actual primary cause of the issue. Since this house was built, there was a problem slowly brewing, but it took 15-20 years or so for it to manifest. All of the water that was landing on your roof was being directed to 1 spot by the way of 2 down pipes, right at the base of your chimney. No amount of foundation water proofing can handle that much water, the whole point of eavestrough and down pipes is to distribute water evenly and equally away from the foundation of your home! In this case it was quite the opposite. I knew right away, this was definitely the issue, what we did was re slope the water to the front of your home and distribute the water out of 3 downpipes to non used/non problem areas. Also we installed the Alu-rex/ T- Rex leaf/ ice guards, therefore debris and ice build up will be at a minimum going forward leaving the eavestroughs almost maintenance free over the next decade of so.

Thanks again for your business

Max
