Ikea Furniture Assembly Service

My husband is from Finland and we wanted a "dish drying cupboard" installed in our Ikea kitchen. For some reason Ikea Canada doesn't offer these options out of the box. Ikea Man was the only assembly service that was willing to make modifications (we provided the racks). I believe we paid a bit extra for this, but it was worth it!

Dimitri and John worked a 12-hour day to install our small galley kitchen in a 100-year-old house -- they managed to get everything level and even helped us work through some little glitches caused by plumbing and flooring and a mistake we made in our order. They were very conscientious about cleaning up the space and vacuumed and stacked boxes before they went to lunch or left for the day.

They did have to come back to finish the job, mainly because Ikea sold us some irregular parts that had to be exchanged. The only small thing we realized later was that they installed the range hood too high -- there is a regulation height in the instructions that our HVAC guy pointed out later.

I had the need to assemble Ikea furniture of King size bed and a large dresser. Considering it was a king size bed , I did not want to take chances.
Called up Ivan, his friendly advice and discussion prompted me to get his service immediately. So got the quote and appointment in seconds.
Had some issues with delivery from Ikea, but he cordially moved the appointment at last moment without any hassle.
Had his team member sent on time , who assembled in good quality and time, continued in good spirit to do his job even with lots of questions from me and my wife.
In future I will surely get his services for any assembly project.

My overall project was the construction of a shelving unit on top of a new ikea wardrobe. As a handyman I had already spoken to didn't show up, I was in a panic to find someone to at least deal with the Ikea wardrobe which had been delivered and was occupying considerable space in my condo.

I called Ikeaman and fortunately they were able to schedule the job within the week.

I am delighted with the experience of dealing with Ivan and John at Ikeaman. I provided Ivan with the picture of my wardrobe and it's interior fittings as well as my order list. He made sure he understood my requirements asking questions where needed, then evidently passed that on to John who singlehandedly did the all the work within a day. After showing up punctually, John first dismantled the old wardrobe and placed it in our recycling room This left a bare unpainted wall which need repainting. He did an excellent job on that, alternatiing the patching and painting process with buidling a very stable wardroble. A day or so after he left I discovered that the dampers which ensure the doors close softly, had been hidden, and they hadn't been installed. After having a civil exchange of emails with Ivan, he asked John to return and finish the job at no charge. When John came back he was friendly and cheerful despite the cost to him. I would most definitely recommend Ikeaman for Ikea installation plus! To my mind there is no substitute for cheerful, honest and hardworking people, they are worth every penny.

Ivan and John to the rescue! When a different assembly man left us in the lurch by stringing us along from noon until nighttime last Friday (only to cancel in the end), and with our young guest from Japan arriving that Saturday afternoon, my wife and I woke up Saturday morning in a very tough jam, surrounded by unopened IKEA boxes and a guest bedroom that was far from ready. After a panicked call to Ivan first thing in the morning, he was able to arrange almost immediately for John to come and assemble our bunk bed and dresser quickly and professionally, and with time to spare before our very important airport pickup. In a world full of fly-by-nighters who fail to do one-tenth of what they promise, IKEA MAN is the epitome of service and professionalism. Highly, highly recommended.

I had an urgent situation on the night of July-8-2013 when the heavy rain storm was hitting toronto .
IKEA people were in a hurry and they just dropped their stuff in the storage room and left which means I AM ON MY OWN.
I searched Google and all the companies i called (at 9 pm) did not answer because it is after hours already.
When i called ikeaman.com they answered althought it was (9:30 pm after working hours).
IVAN answered me and offered his help as soon as possible. He asked to call me back after few minutes.he asked me what types of furniture and from where and which design.
He called back and apologized that the nearest possible time is 8 am .
In the morning, John presented accurately on time and have done the most professional assembly i have seen. He had his own carpet for a clean floor, all required devices and guess what? All done like a piece of cake in one hour.
Highly recommended for a professional assembly with a decent price and most important peace of mind.
