Urban Barn Stoney Creek

This was my first purchase at Urban Barn and was very happy with the picture I purchased along with the excellent customer service I received. I was even able to use my $15.00 coupon. I will be purchasing more items and hoping there are store coupons that I will be able to use. I will be looking forward to your emails. Thank you. Donna

Terrible products. I purchased the Ironside Sideboard and paid approximately $1400. The wood on the door is completely cracked, in a place that will completely ruin the door if it breaks any further, I don't even understand how it cracked there, just terribly made I guess. When I contacted Urban Barn, because it was a year over the date of purchase they will do nothing, yet suggested a place where I can get it fixed. So I pay $1400 for a product and have to pay more??? Ridiculous. I rarely use that side of the cupboard as it has my china in it and have probably opened that door 1-2 times and only noticed the damage when cleaning the glass, otherwise I would have informed Urban Barn way before the year end mark. DON'T purchase from Urban Barn, overpriced and awful quality! Looks pretty but doesn't stand up. This is not the first time I've had an issue, but it will definitely be the last.

I am writing this review based on my experience today. Urban barn is one of my favorite home decor stores in our area. I refer my family and friends on a regular basis (hense my 5 star recommendation). I married 3 weeks ago and had UB as our gift registry. We received many items as gifts and also purchased a new bed last week. Today I went to UB with the intention of purchasing several items including a duvet, area rugs, picture frames, pillows and a couple of odd items. When I arrived the store was very quiet with multiple staff on. The woman helping me was friendly but not very knowledgeable of the items in store (I believe she was on her first day so very understandable) but after inquiring about an item and waiting 15 minutes and having to find her for a response I began to get fedup. When I finally decided I'd had enough waiting I took my now 2 items to the counter where 3 workers stood around. The woman at the register acknowledged me and continued to do her work. I assumed she would quickly finish what she was doing and then help me. 10 min went by before she asked where the woman helping me initially went. She asked a co-worker to help me and instead that woman helped the woman behind me. Needless to say I had one bad experience after the other. There were so many opportunities for the employees to make it right. It is better to be asked several times if I could use help than to ignore and assume I'm okay. My fault for assuming she would ring me in while she stood at the register, but in all fairness I was the customer and should have been her #1 priority. I hope my next visit will be a better one!

First of all, I love this store. For about $80, they delivered my dining table to my house. There were 2 delivery guys that did it and they assembled and were very careful with my table and its components. I only wish that I had purchased more furniture that day as the delivery charge the same regardless of how much you purchase.

We recently purchased a Hudson sideboard and experienced some problems with the quality of the product, three times. During this entire process, Alex treated us with kindness and respect and showed such professionalism, that I felt it necessary to write and comment about it. She was an absolute pleasure to deal with from beginning to end. She took care of us, while still maintaining the integrity of Her store and the Company. She has gained both our respect and business in the future.

I called a couple of Urban Barns looking for a certain thing that I wanted VERY badly!! I didn't have the best of luck with the Managers i spoke to.......BUT when I finally called the Stoney Creek location and spoke with the Manager there (Alex) I was EXTREMELY happy!!! She went far and beyond to help and to try to find me what I was looking for!
I spoke with her quite a few times over a number of days and in the end I purchased what I wanted so badly!!
Alex comes across very cheery and helpful and seems to know her stuff and enjoy her job.
I would most definately recommend the Stoney creek store to all I know!!!!!
Way to go Alex....there are not many people who work in retail who will go out of their way anymore!!!!

I just moved into a new condo building and I had some difficultly with the size of the moving elevator. I wasn't able to fit my original order of the Tribeca sofa in so I had to choose something else, which was fine because I love everything in the show room at the Stoney Creek location. The manager Alex was incredibly helpful and supportive throughout the whole process and thanks to her and the excellent staff I am loving my new Emotion sofa and can't wait for my next visit!! while I was there I also purchased a Liza table lamp and Viking area rug and are loving those too!

We purchased our couch from Alex at the Heritage Greene location and she was very helpful. We had an issue with the fabric pilling and Alex worked with the fabric company to have our issue fixed. Very helpful!

Of course the couch is fantastic and very comfortable. There were literally hundreds of fabric choices (it took us quite a while to pick our fabric).

We'll be visiting the store again soon!

I find the store very attractive. The decor arrangements are very nice and put together very well. The staff are great - give you a lot of information and ideas, colour schemes etc. I would highly recommend the store to thers.
