Fluent Moving & Storage

Reading their website the company almost seems like a joke, after the experience weve had. Just moving to another city cost us as much as our international move overseas. Cost aside, we have so much damage and theres not the slightest effort for any compensation. They dont wrap stuff, just fill boxes and close everything with plastic tape. So crockery and breakables were broken, and we found indelible remainders of tape everywhere. Book shelves without shelves or plugs, deep dents in wooden bed and chairs, living room cupboard shelves without the frame, ripped books from storing on the soft side, they forgot to empty out a whole closet, and a cell phone was missing. Also, the movers damaged the wooden floor and freshly painted wall in the stairwell in our new home. Weve been trying to raise an insurance claim via the insurance that movers are obligated to have. We have submitted our claim to Fluent, but a year has gone by now and our communication stays unaddressed, despite numerous follow-ups. They claim to be part of the Canadian Association for Movers BUT they are NOT. The CAM has confirmed that Fluent is not registered with the CAM (their website indicates that they are, but this is not true). Dont let anything convince you to move with them. You will regret it. The stars on Google are probably from before the company changed owners.

We moved from our condo in Mississauga Ontario to a house in Cornwall Ontario with a pick up at our external storage unit and a week in-between move out and move in dates. We contacted the big name movers we used in the past but they wanted twice the money that we ended up paying and had no real viable way to handle the storage part of our move. Communication was excellent and Fluent was there on time for our move out and was able to provide storage at their facility and delivered our "stuff" at destination exactly when they said they would. No issues. Great guys and fast and efficient. I won't hesitate to use them again if I have to.

Moving day is always chaotic and it doesn't matter how organized you are. It just is.

So in walk Dave, Justin and John. Three very polite, friendly and efficient men who made the move for me, painless.
It was a long day, moving what felt like a million items and yes, I'm tired but these men stayed positive and pleasant the entire time. smiling

Dave, Justin and John made such a great impression that the contractors who were working on my house asked for their number for them personally.

These days when service sucks and COVID is the convenient excuse for all manner of poor customer response it was very refreshing to deal with Fluent Moving who delivered exactly what they promised, on time and on budget with no damages and a highly efficient and pleasant team who went out of their way to be helpful

We moved from Brampton to Windsor. Fluent Moving surpassed our expectations, from Jonathan who provided the estimate, answered all my questions, and helped us through the virtual walk through to Ed, our Driver. Ed and the Guys were prompt, efficient, and professional, even when dealing with our heavy, older console piano and some tight spaces.
We wIll definitely be referring friends and family in the GTA to Fluent Moving & Storage and rate Fluent 5 Stars out of 5 !

Great Service, arrived on time wrapped furniture well very polite service guys, did not waste time. We’re very accommodating as well. Jonathan was also prompt in dealing with the request initially.

I used the Fluent team to move from Toronto to Ottawa in April 2020 and they worked hard and quickly. No damage, nothing lost. I used them again to move me back from Ottawa to Missussauga May 2021. Different team, same outcome. Hard to find consistency in the moving business but Fluent has it down. Jonathan does a great job estimating and managing my needs at the outset, and their teams deliver, literally. Wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

I had to move all my furniture and belonging from one residence I was using into my year round cottage, my daughters and some into storage. Being a bit more than your usual A to B type move, Fluent Movers took care of this for me on two separate days in order to complete the task and to give me time to have items ready to move. One of the moves was a 250 km trek each way. On both moves they showed up as scheduled, the movers were very polite and accommodating, they definitely knew what they where doing, an overall pleasant experience.

The cost included 2 1/2 months of storage which involved loading & offloading the contents of a 3 bedroom house & nearly 100 boxes. Dave's crew worked non-stop for over 3 hours. They put extra effort into placement of furniture in each room often having to move & stack boxes & bins to make that happen. I would definitely use Fluent Moving & Storage again & recommend them to friends & family.

Moved from Toronto to Sarnia, Ontario (300 kms.) The 3 men were professional and highly efficient even though the building elevators were small and there were more boxes than I estimated, so the price came up from original quote, but was very fair. I would recommend these movers highly.
