Defective Products Not Covered Under Warrenty
We had windows installed by Global Windows and Door Home Improvement Inc. Not long after the installation, we heard a loud "bang!" and we noticed that the bottom glass was cracked on the inside. Nothing had made contact with the glass, so how could this be? When I called Alex (Production Manager) at Global and asked about the warranty for a defect in the Insulating Thermal Edge Glass Unit (according to the wording of the contract), he said "No Window company will warranty the glass on a window" and the warranty period for glass is not even 1 day". Before you choose a window installer, read the warranty and ask questions about the meaning of the term "Lifetime"!

I appreciate your review however, it should be noted that the windows were installed in 2016 versus "not long after installation" as the l damage was reported in December 2022. The damage reported is not due to defect
I did offer to replace the broken glass at a discounted rate as good gesture.
