Windows By Installer

I was very surprised that in a city such as Toronto, I couldn't find a single window contractor on Google that wasn't a large franchise company. So, I took my search to Homestars. What I came up with was Windows by Installer, among other window/door contractors. Low and behold, they came out today to install a single window in my house

1.) The original estimator was clean-cut, professional, knowledgeable and on time. He made some solid recommendations and had the estimate out exactly when he said he would. The estimate was detailed, he sent the company site where they order their windows from and made great recommendations. The price was also fair and competitive.
2.) The two guys who came out were also on time, clean-cut, professional, friendly, clean and quick. They even made some recommendations for our front doors, which we'll be sure to call them on when we're ready. Nice "up-sell" guys!
3.) Their reputation as a long-standing window contractor in the area with humble beginnings made our decision very easy. Plus, they installed some windows in Old City Oakville, one of the city's most historic sites (my wife is a historian).

Naturally from my 10-star review I'd recommend Windows by installer to anyone looking to have windows installed. These guys were just flat-out great to deal with and I was surprised the level of service we received since we were only having one window installed, whether your project is big or small, just give them a call.

I got the info for Windows by installer from the inspector that looked at our home before we bought it, and our real estate agent recommended them too. Seems that these guys are well known in real estate circles for excellent window service. We bought a 1920's place that needed a lot of window unstitching and door adjusting. Some of the doors would not close properly and the windows needed ropes replaced, new locks, unsticking, etc. Once I called, Oleg and Alex came out to take a look at the work we needed done. They were very friendly, and knew the ins and outs of old windows... They got back to me with an estimate within a day or so. On the day of work, they sent out two very friendly and professional guys, who went over each window and door with me, telling me what they would do to ameliorate the problem. Every spot in the house where they worked was thoroughly cleaned up with a vacuum, and they even fixed another little tiny problem (a door that didn't quite stay shut) that they noticed along the way, no extra charge. Windows by installer has excellent quality of service and excellent prices, they get 10 stars in my book.

Price was obviously a great factor, but service was outstanding all the way through. had one little hiccup with a factory goof-up but Alex immediately brought in new hardware and fixed it still inside of delivery date. then, the "top it all off" was that I missed my flight home (the day i was to pick them up), meaning they would be closed. Alex gave me his cell phone, told me to call when i landed. He met me at the office at 6pm on a weekend so could start installing that sunday. talk about extra mile, honestly can't wait to do the rest of the house so i can get more windows.

I was replacing 3 large windows (casement, center, casement) redone in front of my house. I explored the Marvin options and custom through Windows by Installer. I decided to go the custom route to keep the same look from outside the house (the Marvin option was going to be aluminum clad). Alex came over on very short notice to measure, and had an estimate ready for me the same day. I stopped by his shop a few times to look at different trim options, and Sandra and the staff were extremely accommodating in showing me the options. Alex was also able to get the windows done and installed in 2 weeks, before the hardwood floors went in. The guys who came to install were very fast and did a great job (and cleaned up). I even had some questions on how to trim the window frame and Alex came over to give me his advice. Both Sandra and Alex are wonderful, nice, patient people. I have one more window to do and will be using these guys again, highly recommend the for all of you window and door needs.

This was the best service ever, we had a broken window and we needed to replace it urgently and in less than 24 hours Windows by installer were able to solve the problem for us when many other companies in the area didn't even care about listening or taking the time to see what we needed it. Windows by Installer in Toronto is the place to go!!! And their prices are very reasonable. Outstanding customer service! Perfect! Since then I recommended these guys to my neighbor, they got windows replaced for their whole house and were just as happy.

I was looking to replace windows at my house so I interviewed several window companies before choosing Windows by installer (mostly due to their reasonable price). Since they were the cheapest, I did not expect they'd be the most professional...I was wrong. I cannot say enough how happy I am with the job they did on the windows. Tony, Alex, and Dima were an excellent team, they were prompt, professional, and reasonable. Alex passed by the job site a few times throughout the day to ensure everything was going okay(he is the manager). The installers were experienced and professional, and they were fast! Finished the whole job in one day and left it so clean you would never have known there had been work done. Save yourself time, money, and hassle and call these guys, plus with their low prices you will be happy you did.

We are remodeling our 1950's house and the former owner replaced the front windows with a single picture window. Windows by installer replaced the single pane with three custom double hung windows to match the architecture of the home. Their crew investigated to determine the exact measurements that were in the house when it was built in the 50s. They manufactured windows of the highest quality that are nearly an exact match to those the former owners had installed. The installed them perfectly. Whether you are replacing all of your windows or you need a custom built job Alex and his team will amaze you.

Windows by installer is Fantastic! I had called a few other repair shops in the area, some never got back to me and the ones that did call me back wanted an OUTRAGEOUS amount of money for the repair of my window. I actually scheduled an appointment with another company and they postponed my appointment to the next day! I then called By Installer and spoke with Alex, who after answering a few of my questions not only provided me with a VERY reasonable estimate, had a technician out to me within the hour! Tony showed up and custom cut the glass for my window and had it fixed and looking perfect all before i had to go to work! He also notice a problem with my small basement window and surprisingly had the same size one in his truck, he gave me a great deal on it and was able to replace that as well. Now when it comes to windows and Door I got my guys.

We were having some problems with a front door was stuck shut with the deadbolt not moving out of the frame. We wanted to replace the door anyway, but this was the kicker, AND we had a party scheduled for the following weekend and needed a new working front door to let in our guests.
I spoke with Tony and he walked me through our options. Unfortunately, since we had an oversize door opening we would need to order a door and delivery could take 5 weeks - time we didn't have.
The solution ended up being to hire an installer to build down the top of the opening to make it a standard size, so I could purchase a door at Home Depot and have it installed that same week. Tony put me in contact with his head installer, Oleg, and he did an amazing job with the custom install. Since it is an old house there were many little (and big) modifications that needed to be done, but we now have a beautifully installed new fiberglass replacement door and storm door.

I was so impressed with the professionalism and service of both Tony and Oleg. I now recommend them to all of my Neighbours.

I am happy that there are still some honest and reliable people left in the world, the owner of ByInstaller Window is def one of them. I recently purchased a house that was in dire need of new windows. Leaky old fashioned jealousy windows (I call them JA-LOUSY) were running up my AC bill and the house was always hot, even at night. I can go on how crappy jalousy windows are for hours, but I'll spare you the details. Fortunately my family found these gusy a few years ago to do their windows, who came highly recommended by all of their neighbors who used them to install their windows.
They found that they were more than just really good at what they do, they are also really reasonable with their pricing; significantly cheaper than their big name competition.
I decided to have my whole house re-done with the recent hurricane weather that we had this summer our windows were letting more water in then ever, and they only used the best available windows out on the market. It only took them a week between two guys to install 20 LARGE windows and now my house is cooler, quieter, and a lot more secure. Special thanks to Alex, Max and Susan.
