2 years ago we bought a 50's home in highlands. It needed a complete renovation and we did most of the work ourselves on the main floor parsing out some specific tasks to contractors as we went. Last fall we decided we wanted to have a contractor in to do the bulk of the renovating upstairs in our loft. We actually found Steve initially on Homestars. He had great reviews so we gave him a call. I knew Steve was going to be great after the first call, he seemed genuinely interested in the project and asked all kinds of questions that showed me he knew what he was talking about.
My wife is a nurse and works primarily nights so I knew it was going to be hard for our contractor work around our schedule. This was absolutely not the case, Steve was extremely accommodating to our schedule.
With most of the other contractors we hired along the way we always found ourselves battling with them not showing up on time or at all. Steve was there on time, every-time. He is incredibly knowledgeable and answered my countless questions with ease. His pride and quality of workmanship FAR surpassed that of any other contractor we had in. Any time he had another one of his subcontractors come in to do work he would always call after to ask how it went and to make sure we were happy with their work.
Overall we literally could not have asked for a better contractor; it felt like we had a good friend we've known forever working on our place. If I could, I would give him 20 stars!
