I thought pirates in canada were done hundreds of years ago, I was wrong.

I got taken to the cleaners from this horrible moving company, even though our things had been boxed and packaged correctly, they re packed everything in their boxes, $350 charge, promised to pick up things June 2nd, picked up June 1st. Promised 2 week delivery, 27 days later, still not delivered. Got charged $300 for storage fee in Toronto, why??? Promised $2000, final charges, so far,
$3980. So far. As I said in the title, I truly thought canadian pirates practicing piracy in the Atlantic were done hundreds of years ago. I was wrong, avoid these pirates like the plague.

Awful!

I used Atlantic Van Lines to move, a lot of my furniture was destroyed during the move, they stored my furniture for 2 days before delivering, and obviously, they were tossing around my stuff and didn't care to handle it properly! 10 weeks after filing the claim they offered me $30 for the damages including a side lamp, bed frame, Dresser, and turntable, they informed me that I purchased the basic coverage and that basically they owe me nothing, although I wasn't offered any other coverage and even if I only had the basic coverage why is it ok that I paid this company to move my furniture and then having it completely destroyed! I ended up spending almost the same amount of the fee they charged me for the move just to replace all the stuff that was destroyed during the move. PLEASE don't use their service just because they are a cheaper option than other reputable companies because you will end up spending a lot of money repairing the damages done.

Move from Toronto to Calgary

STAY AWAY from this company! Awful service! Was charged extra $100 for 20 meters from the elevator to the docking station, plus another $100 for wrapping some Items that were damaged at the end. Movers didn't even bother to cover staircase, so right now I have to clean it at my expense. Lots Items have been damaged and right now I have to wait 8-10 weeks for the claim manager to comeback to me.

Doesn't care about damaging your possessions

If it was possible to leave less than 0 stars, I would.

My furniture and belongings arrived on time, that is about the only good thing I can say.

My bedroom suite arrived with several chips and scratches, ad it's 20 years old, I let it go. However, the 6 month old, $1000 Sealy mattress was torn up on one end.

My mechanics toolbox had obviously been dropped and the top caved in, fortunately the lock held. They left it sitting in the driveway and said they would not move it as it was too heavy (it has wheels and was going in my trailer.)

The "movers" were careless and scratched/gouged the walls of my stairwell.

I contacted these folks and was directed to file a claim. Followed all the instructions, provided pictures and even the receipt for the mattress.
They offered me $30.

Stay as far away from this company as possible. Despite the cheap pricing, it will cost you more in the end.

Don’t use this mover!

Very first quota was $875, and finally paid $2000. Delivery guy English is awful. Come in and said everything need extra charge. Call the office asked cancel the appointment and they said cannot be canceled since the driver already here! No actual weight. The weight depends on estimate, disassembly everything and not installing when they doing the delivery. Said 30 days free storage in the email. And when you ask for that service, they said not available at this region! Super ridiculous company! Not even want give one star for them. Never ever will use this mover again and will tell everybody that I know don’t use them also.

Damage caused cost more than the move!

I moved from Ontario to British Columbia back in the Summer and did not have much, so the cost Atlantic gave me was reasonable. Jennifer in customer service was great and very responsive, but that was where my positive experience ended.

The drivers showed up at my house to pick up my stuff four hours late, tracked mud and dirt all throughout my place, left garbage from their tape, wrap and stickers all over, plus they broke the legs off my desk right in front of me; stating to submit a claim to the office and I'll be reimbursed for it. Ha!

Then a few weeks later my stuff arrived in BC... my two TVs (55" curved and 70" 4K UHDTV) were smashed, an ottoman I had was completely missing, and all of my boxes were caved in (crushed) with all glass or delicate objects within, smashed.

I filed an incident report with the office, hoping to be compensated and I was offered $55 - for $5,000 worth of damage! I didn't think I needed coverage against reckless, negligent behavior, but I was wrong. I went so far as to research my rights under the consumer protection act and there aren't any. 60 cents per pound of damaged goods is it! Well, TVs don't weigh much, but they cost a ton so I had to replace those, my ottoman, ironing board, bbq, and desk legs MYSELF!

What a racket to be in! You can charge for a service, then treat the goods you're transporting like absolute garbage, and be held zero percent accountable! Great lesson for me I guess. Buyer beware! Atlantic gets paid for doing nothing and guarantees even less!

Never hire them

There is so much to say.
At first, everything seems fine and legitimate with the sales representative, but when you confirm their service, they load you with extra fees. The estimate was originally $2000, but then they added stair fees at the origin of the pickup and destination for $600 even though I specifically mentioned we were on second floor. They then added warehouse fees of $108 when all I wanted was a move. They disregarded my student discount of 5%.
Secondly, the movers didn't protect any of the valuable items. They ran out of bubble wrap and blankets. They said they would be taken care of at the warehouse but they were not. All our items were damaged or destroyed, a piano, a desk, speakers, bookshelf, etc.
Third, they charged $200 of fees for the piano, but the movers were unaware and unequipped for handling a piano. It is a 1929 antique piano in excellent condition and they managed to damage it like it was an old rag.

I do NOT recommend this mover at all. Do not trust them with your personal items.
