R&R Restorations & Renovations Ltd. No Longer In Business

I needed to replace one of the columns on the front façade of my house, and I shopped around mostly in the West End/East End. I got four quotes, but only one company came to my house in person. I met Ray Zinsmeister, R & R Restoration and Renovations, on June 17th, 2015. He was punctual and pleasant. He took pictures of my old column and then emailed me a reasonable quote. I also got him to paint my column, and he did a great job. He straightforwardly told me that he would not be able to finish my column until September, but I was satisfied with that. He surprised me by finishing in only one month. Ray and the team at R & R Restoration and Renovations did an amazing job. The finished product is beyond expectations. I will definitely call them for future renovations.

We had our porch posts replaced June 2015. We are very pleased with the finished product, the install, and the customer service. The new posts are exactly what we envisioned. The crew were here, done and gone in a morning. Ray was a pleasure to deal with and a great sense of humour.
I have already recommended R & R to a couple friends and will continue to do so.

We needed to replace our front porch pillars as they were rotten. We contacted R and R Restoration & Renovations for a quote. Shortly after initial contact Ray provided us with a detailed estimate on the spot. We selected the type and color of pillars and waited for the work to commence. Ray was great with communication by phone and email. The day before work started Ray called us and confirmed all details pertaining to next day’s work. Two installers arrived the next day and did excellent work. They were courteous, accommodating and professional. We would definitely recommend Ray and his team to others!

We had our columns replaced today by R&R Renovations and was 100% satisfied with the work. The installers did a wonderful job and cleaned up after themselves and even took the old rotten columns with. Other than the new columns we would never know they were there. We would highly recommend them and have handed out their business cards to neighbours. Fantastic Job.

We searched around for a few years to replace our 16 ft wood pillars at the front of the house that were beginning to rot over the last few years. We had got a quote a few years back but didn't do anything until this year. Ray came by and gave me a quote. We shopped around for a bit and finally decided on R & R for the work. They were prompt in coming by the house and gave me a quote on the spot. Due to our late season order the time frame for ordering was 6-8 weeks so we expected install in late Nov pending weather. We got the pillars delivered to the house in early Nov which was a surprise. We had a wait a few weeks for the install to happen due to other projects R7R was working on before us. We only assumed the install would happen in the spring but Ray called and surprisingly with the warmer weather and no snow they came and spent the whole day at the house removing the old and installing the new pillars. They crew were super nice and explained everything. There was nothing to clean up when they left. Ray followed up with me after the work was complete. I mentioned one issue and he said they will come back in the spring to check the install due to the cold and re caulk the contact points to make sure everything is perfect. Extremely happy with the work.

Our existing columns were starting to rot and needed to be replaced. In the end I wanted someone who was willing to take the time and come to the house for measurements, remove all the garbage and paint the columns all in a days work. I started searching for companies online and read lots of reviews.

After reading reviews and searching for 2 days I came up with list of questions and possible concerns that might arise during the process of replacing the columns. I was amazed at how quickly I eliminated most of the companies.

First sign was they were not willing to come to the house to take measurement themselves. 2nd was customer service on the phone some of the companies I called were very rude on the phone it was like they are doing me an favor and not a service.

One company actually did answer all mine questions but they broke down the price and told me during the process mine front porch will be damaged so to repair it there will be an fee for that as well.

When Ray came to the house, he gave me the pricing and answered all mine questions. I knew I had found the right person for the job and after it was completed I was satisfied with the work and the place being left clean.
