Thanking My Lucky (Home)Stars For AUGUSTA MOVERS
It's taken a few weeks to get settled but I was certainly not going to go without shouting accolades to the STELLAR team at Augusta that made my moving experience far less horrible than I was expecting this dreaded day to be.
Dinko's prompt response to my very short-notice request was followed up with a thoroughly detailed quote in record-time. My booking late resulted in a 4-day spread between furniture-prep day and moving day. His crew arrived promptly on prep day and the details of the process were explained thoroughly--and adhered to throughout, start-to-finish. Corey, Brian, Mark, and Gagandeep (aka "GG") were professional, polite and worked diligently for 8.5 hours to ensure my furnishings were well protected and ready for moving day.
This same super crew, minus "GG" plus Dave and Harry again arrived promptly on moving day and proceeded to load my belongings methodically, leaving "the fun stuff" to the tail end: 3 hoists off 2 different balconies, including one 3 stories high. These guys aren't just movers, they're acrobatic engineers!! I can't upload videos but the photos speak for themselves.
Who knew that the move-in side would be even more taxing?! Bringing 14 years of "stuff" from a 3-floor-plus-basement house into a 50%-smaller split-level bungalow certainly brought a few challenges but each of these guys worked indefatigably, throughout the duration of this FOURTEEN-hour move. The last photo was their final 'challenge', taken just before 10:00PM. I had to force them to stop working just so they could eat the pizza dinner they finally agreed to let me order for them after the clock struck 8:00pm and there was still much to do.
Moving is one the most stressful events one can endure and I'm no exception. Given the unpleasant circumstances, this team was a pleasure to “spend the day with” ~ twice! They were very professional, very efficient and somehow managed to maintain calm ‘n cool composures ALL DAY LONG ~ twice! They were also exceptionally polite, respectful and though not in any way mandatory, had a great sense of humour ~ which just makes things that much easier.
