Taping Excellence

I called Taping Excellence, looking for someone to skim coat and repair the drywall in 3 bathrooms where I had removed the bathroom mirrors and fixtures. I didn't anticipate the tears and mess the glue from the mirrors would cause. I attempted to repair myself but I just could not finish. I just didn't have the finishing touch of a professional. Sebastian, the owner of Taping Excellence spoke to me the same day I called and agreed to repair and finish the job. I had sent him pics. He was so booked, but he took time out on the weekend to come for several hours. He was so knowledgeable, and truly a person that really wants to help. He came on a Sunday and completed the work. He did an excellent job. He created a level 5 finish. He also gave me tips on what primer to use. I really appreciated his work ethic, his manner and his time. Thank you so much Sebastian. We posted a request for ceiling and sidewall drywall repair in our basement due to ceiling leak. Sebastian responded to the request promptly, he communicated very professionally and we agreed a fair price up front, he arrived when agreed, was very friendly and transparent, job took three visits as planned, quality of fix is excellent and he cleaned up after and stuck to the original price. Overall a great experience- would definitely recommend.

We had a leak in our upstairs washroom, had it repaired, and then we were left with a beautiful hole in our family room ceiling. We tendered quotes on HomeStars, and Sebastian responded promptly and with a well-priced quote for the job.

My wife and I are renovating several rooms and washrooms in our house. We removed drywall and cut holes to move piping and electrical. We removed door/window casings and baseboards. We had drywall nails popping and stress cracks in corner ceiling joints. Sebastian was absolutely amazing in repairing all our drywall and preparing it for painting. He installed new drywall, repaired holes, repaired drywall around doors/windows, fixed popping nails and repaired ceiling stress cracks. He was meticulous in taping and mudding. Sebastian drywalled and taped 7 ceilings for us, repaired damage to plaster walls after an electrical retrofit and put in a closet wall. At the end of the job, our house was paint ready. We were impressed with Sebastian's attention to detail (his work was impeccable!) and the speed at which he worked. He was excellent at communicating with us throughout the process and problem solved when we found some surprises that had been hiding under our old ceilings. He even took the time to walk us through the order in which other work should happen on our house as we weren't using a GC and gave us some helpful suggestions. Seb was a pleasure to work with from start to finish and his professionalism and attention to details is what sets him apart from the rest. He was able to take my DIY framing and turn our basement into a masterpiece. His price was fair and the project was completed on schedule and on budget.
