I went looking through Homestars for someone to reface our bathroom vanity. The majority of the cabinetmakers I contacted were not that interested in re-facing our cabinet that had 6 doors and 2 drawers. (a small job) Then we found Richard at Affordable Woodworking and he was pleased to take it on. He came to our home to take measurements, showed us samples and priced out the job fairly, within our budget. Then he made a few suggestions to help me with the part of the project that was my responsibility.

Richard brings to the table the right balance of honesty, integrity, experience, craftsmanship and customer service. He supplied and installed the new doors on time, within budget and he cleaned up after himself. A first class job. I would gladly use Richard again on any future projects.

Richard doesn't treat you like a 'one-of' customer. He prides himself not only in doing fantastic work but also makes a great effort to build a relationship throughout the process. This inevitably made our kitchen installation process more enjoyable! Richard takes the time to meticulously measure the space and considers inherent challenges within the project to ensure that the final design and installation is at a highest standard.

From the initial concept of the kitchen design, Richard will go over the details of the job and make you comfortable with how he plans to proceed. Richard also listens carefully to ensure all design features were incorporated in the final plans.

This was a relatively small project and we were on a budget. It was s tricky job building into a corner with no straight lines or equal angles. He took on the challenge even though it was a small job. Richard helped us to finesse our design and gave us choices to help us stay on budget including doing the paint and tiling work ourselves. We are very happy with the project, and will definitely call on Richard again when we are ready to tackle our kitchen!

Affordable Woodworking builds unique working table - drawings storage for our office. Richard did an outstanding job. Work started from a draft sketch and was completed within our construction schedule, delivered and assembled professionally. The final product is elegant, matching the furniture in the office and exactly what I expected.

Our 35 year old kitchen really needed updating. We were unable to find what we wanted and needed to make our kitchen work with ready-made cabinets. Our contractor suggested Affordable Woodworking. Richard came in and even though I was a kitchen designer, he suggested a few things I had not thought of. With our combined ideas our kitchen works very well, has maximized space and is beautiful. We get comments on it every time someone new comes to the house. We had one minor problem in that the lower shelf in the lazy susan cracked within a couple of months of installation. Richard replaced it quickly and without hesitation. Four years later our kitchen is as beautiful as the day it was installed. Richard works in a timely fashion and is very professional. We highly recommend him.. He would be the first person we would consult if we ever moved and needed another kitchen.
