Mc Dermott Plastering No Longer In Business

Shane was able to fit us in to his incredibly busy schedule, worked and finished within our tight time frame. He is the man you need if you want plastering done, his work is absolutely terrific. He even added a couple of extra fixes without charging more than the original quote. I had read his reviews and wanted Shane to do the job, was so very glad he was able to do our walls. Will definitely call you again in the future if we need any plastering done. Thanks Shane

Shane was easy to deal with, provided a reasonable estimate, timeline, and understood very well what needed to be done. I felt very comfortable with the whole process from start to finish, and was quite happy with the finished product. He finished on time and budget, and though a few changes were added, he dealt with them professionally and reasonably. I would recommend his work, and hire him again should we need specialty plaster work in future.

Part of our dining room ceiling collapsed and therefore, needed to be restored. Shane and his employee did a great job repairing it to look exactly as it did before! I believe he underestimated the amount of time that it took to do the job but worked long hours over a few days to complete it. They provided completely professional work.

Shane came by for a quote and even though the scope of work changed after his first visit he was very accommodating to our needs. Dave did all of the taping and mudding, as well as skim coating of two existing plaster walls, and even had to do some creative work on a tricky part of the room with strange angles! All of the work was done thoroughly and I was walked through the entire job by each of Dave and Shane separately, and any small flaw that was found was quickly remedied.

It is true about paying what you get for, as I know there are cheaper companies out there, but for the quality of work you get with Shane the value is incredible. His estimate for the job was quite accurate and I am very satisfied with the results.

I will definitely keep Shane on my 'to call' to do more of the same work in the future.

Shane did an excellent job re-plastering our ceilings and walls in our 1960s bungalow. He definitely wanted the work to look perfect and ensured our house was clean before completing the project. I would highly recommend McDermott Plastering and will call Shane back for future plaster repair.

I read great reviews here and when I called Shane he seemed to know what he was talking about, as I had called other contractors and there knowledge of plaster seemed less then mine! I wanted to finish our complete basement in our new house in Plaster. Even though we are a bit out of the way ( Glen Williams) Shane did agree to take on the job after I pointed out it was not much further than Oakville! Bad weather and all he was done in 4 days - his original estimate - and his cost was surprisingly reasonable for our whole basement and expert workmanship. I had asked for an accent wall and he did! I am very pleased with his attention to detail and great customer service. The walls look great and I am happy I chose plaster and hired Shane and his team to work in our home.

Shane provided a reasonable quote to replaster our master bedroom on the spot and was able to schedule the work within a week, as we had requested. The quality of the plastering was excellent and all work was completed within 2 days.

When we decided to update our bedroom, the first thing that had to go was the popcorn ceiling. Trying to save some money, we decided to do the job ourselves. After removing the popcorn the ceiling was in rough shape and the amount of labour required to fix it seemed daunting. At that point we decided to call in the pros and after reviewing Homestars we selected McDermott's. We were under a tight timeline and called Shane to see how quickly he could do the job. Shane fitted us in within the week and he and James did a fantastic job. The ceiling is amazing. They were extremely careful with our carpeting and cleaned up after they finished. They were professional yet down-to-earth and friendly. We were comfortable with them in our home. The rates were very reasonable. We would highly recommend.

Shane repaired a number of cracks and holes in our living room
and bathroom ceilings and walls as well as rebuilt a corner of crown moulding. His workmanship was superb. I would highly
recommend this company to anyone needing work involving plastering. The price was quite reasonable.

Shane responded to our phone call promptly, and gave us a reasonable quote to replaster and skimcote walls and ceilings after some messy knob and tube replacement work. He and his assistant did a fantastic job, and left our house spotless. We're very impressed!
