Newtech Appliance Repair & Refrigeration

When my clothes drier overheated about 6 months ago, I was in search of affordable appliance repair. I called literally every repair service in the lower mainland before finding Amin at New Tech. He was really friendly on the phone and his was hands down the most affordable. He arrived exactly when he said he would, was pleasant, friendly and professional,and got to work quickly.Turned out the dryer just needed to cool down and it was fine, he charged me an absolute minimum since he didn't really have to do much and checked the thermostat. Last week our washer stopped draining. I called Amin once again and he came asap,once again, totally friendly and personable, fixed the machine quickly and gave me some good maintenance tips.

I hired the repairman to fix our fridge. He came and gave me an estimate and ordered the part once I approved the repair.

He went away and picked up the part and brought it back. it only took a few minutes to plug in the new part.

He was fair and clean

During spin cycle the washer sounder like there was something metal or hard being thrown around. I called this ad as the people seemed to think he was very reasonable. There was repeated reviews saying that the work was good and when they did not have to do a lot, they were charged 60 dollars for the service call. It turned out that there was a hair pin in the pump. My daughter said he was here for 15 minutes, spent 5 talking to her, about 5 taking the machine apart and about 5 minutes working.
I was charged 95.00 plus taxes. Perhaps it was my fault for assuming that the repeat 60charge I had read about, would be what mine should have been when it turned out that there was virtually nothing for him to do. I thought that 106.00 was a lot for a 15 minute call and I feel a little taken. I will not call them back in the future.

Our GE fridge was giving us trouble every couple of weeks when it would stop cooling & get frost and ice underneath the crispers. We had been asking questions of experts on the internet, everyone had different opinions about the different timers, etc. so we knew we needed to call in a professional to get it fixed. We choose NewTech because they were close by, they were certified in appliance repair and had a 10 rating on this site. Amin of New Tech arrived when he said he would, he recognized the model of fridge instantly & knew the problem (a design flaw in that model that he knew how to correct). In addition he took a quick look at another fridge we have and gave us advice on it. He just charged us $60 for the service call for the main fridge. We appreciated his knowledge & thoroughness first off...but also his honesty in that he could have said it was anything wrong with the fridge and put in parts we didn't need, as we were expecting it could be timers or anything. Thank you for your excellent work. We will definitely call this company again for any appliance repair.

our dishwasher stopped draining ,I called newtech appliance/ Amin came on time and he found the issue. he did gave us a good service .I will recommend newtech appliance to everyone. thanks
