Move from Toronto to Vancouver

This company is TERRIBLE! I tried them out largely based on their ratings here, which I am now pretty sure were created by their marketing dept and not actual users. :-/ When the estimator arrived, he took about 2 minutes to decide the contents of my one bedroom apt would weigh in at about 1500 lbs. I told him that sounded low based on other estimates and he assured me there would be no way I was going to go over 2000 lbs. He said they could deliver my things 10 days from the departure date. Prices were not the lowest, but competitive and they assured me they'd been in business for 10+ years and pointed to their BBB rating as a reference. (BBB shows them in business for 6 mos... this should have been my first clue)
Well, my "weigh in" was 2700 lbs (which I only found out cause I called them and am suspicious of). Every single piece of furniture save 1 has sustained damage from this move and anything fragile that I did not pack myself (I got full packing service) is damaged in some way or outright broken. To make matters worse, I got a call on day 13 stating they had calculated my original price (which was already almost double the quoted price due to the weight difference), and were adding an additional $500 to the price tag for packing. When could I expect to receive my things? Friday, someone would call me to schedule delivery. I blow a gasket and they cut that $500 off my bill.
Friday comes and goes with no call, so I call them on Monday to see where my stuff is. They assure me it's in a warehouse here, but I need to call their dispatcher to get delivery.
Well, the warehouse is for a completely different company. Contrary to what their "marketing" dept says, they do NOT have their own van line. The people on this side who work for allied movers were slow to deliver. They would often promise callbacks and then fail to do so. I had to spend hours of my time just chasing them to commit to bring my stuff to me after living out of a single suitcase and on an air mattress for 2 weeks and sleeping on a friend's couch for another. I ultimately received my goods 21 days after they left Toronto. Many of them are damaged. I would NOT recommend this company to anyone.

Approximate cost of services:
$3,100.00
