PECI MOVING (based in Burlington) - AVOID THE WORST!
This "moving" company is completely incompetent. The owner, Foti, assured me repeatedly that he had a PROPER piano dolly to move my apt-size piano. On my moving day he instead had two small dollies, NOT a proper piano dolly, and asked me what I thought of setting the piano on its side on one of these small dollies (beyond moronic). My piano kept falling off the edge of these spinning/moving dollies and got damaged.
When I noted the damage, Foti became angry and ignorant, asked me what a proper dolly was, threatened me with assault (gnarled his teeth and held a fist to my face), and was thankfully restrained by one of his staff who was half his age. The police attended and Foti became Mr. Nice Guy while they were present. As I cried about my piano, holding his payment in my hand, Foti jumped into con-man mode and promised to buy my piano if 3 estimates were over $500. He said, "I'm your buddy, I'm not going to disappear on you, I help you, I'm your buddy, right?". After I emailed him two estimates he told me to not contact him or he will consider it harassment.
After the horrendous move I entered the new unit and found SPIT on my beanbag chair (see pic!). My solid oak computer desk is now useless, thanks to Foti throwing away a loose strip of metal that holds the keyboard tray. I never found the glass top for one of my tables, which was obviously broken and thrown away, even though Foti, my "buddy", never said a word about anything being broken, damaged or thrown away -- I discovered these lovely surprises while unpacking. Had to toss a perfectly good table in the garbage. Almost everything handled by this "moving" company has been scuffed, scraped, damaged, or rendered unusable. AND EVEN WORSE, I AM MISSING ITEMS I KNOW I WILL NEVER SEE AGAIN.
Avoid this company like the plague, the owner is a hack who will tell you anything to get your money (and possibly your possessions).
