Kitchen renovation

The Ottawa Raywal team, led by the Ottawa Showroom Manager, was and continues to be extremely helpful and professional in realizing our dream of a new kitchen. All aspects of the project were well managed - the designs developed were inspirational, installation was meticulous and expertly completed, and changes in plans/schedules were flexibly accommodated, not to mention that the product itself is of high quality. We couldn't be happier with the finished project.

Kitchen Renovation

A very professional team & process making the cabinet selection part of the kitchen renovation much less stressful.
Carly & her team stepped us thru the wide selection of cabinets & hardware with thoughtful questions that we hadn't considered. Ranging from our height to the size of our hands.
Once our selections were final, there was a steady stream of correspondence keeping us posted on delivery & installation days. Once the products were installed, Carly appeared at the door; scheduled for a post inspection. Minor problems were noted & speedy repairs too place.

Terrible Customer Service

Absolutely horrendous aftermarket service! My wife and I just purchased a home that was built 3 years ago and has Raywal cabinets. We discovered one of the vanity doors in the second washroom has water / separation damage. I removed the door and went to my local Raywal retailer in Ajax, Ontario to order a new door, since this isn't available anywhere else. To my complete shock, I was told that we are not doing any small orders and only taking "large" kitchen projects!!! I was told maybe in the new year, we can take your order. I understand that everyone is busy in this "pandemic" era, however to be told that they are not even willing to place my order or deal with me as a customer, is completely unacceptable. I called the corporate office and was told exactly the same situation and that corporate leadership made the decision to not accept small orders and only take on large projects. Corporate management these days need to realize, that once things get back to somewhat of normalcy, the customers will remember the service received during theses times. I have a master ensuite, laundry room and basement renovations planned within the next 12 months, I can assure you, I will not be using Raywal Cabinets!

Worst experience ever

Original install was 8 weeks late. Missed the promised timeline for Christmas.
No communication. Constantly have to call and make sure stuff is being done.
Finish is terrible. Chips in doors, scratches, mismatched colours.even after the second order of replacement parts, pieces came wrong colour, and damaged.

People here don’t care. Just blame someone else.

Stay away from this place. Read the bad comments. 100% true.

bathroom vanity

I hired Raywal to custom make a bathroom vanity and linen tower for a client. I hired them because I didn't want to have to worry about the quality of the service or the product, and they certainly delivered! Carly was very particular with the final product to ensure a high quality result which impressed me and my client. They did a beautiful job and I would definitely hire them again for future clients because they make me look good and they make clients happy!

Several

I have worked with Raywal for several renovations over a number of years. We have done large and small projects together and every time it is an excellent experience. Raywal has a talented team of designers and installers working together to ensure projects run smoothly and that the final product exceeds the expectations of the homeowner. Carly is a wonderful designer and takes the time to really understand a client’s needs in order to design their space. She has an excellent attention to detail and is able to answer questions thoroughly and professionally. She is very knowledgeable of the cabinet industry and all the construction aspects involved in a successful renovation.

Do NOT waste your money and time with Raywal

I do not recommend this company. Honestly, this company should be completely gone in the cabinet industry.
1. They measured incorrectly and sent incorrect cabinet sizes and doors.
2. Terrible communication, never reply back to emails or phone calls. It was so hard to get confirmation on delivery date and installation date. Also after our kitchen demolition, we had to confirm a few things, they never get back to us.
3. Installation technician was really reckless. He dragged the cabinet doors (which is not heavy, I can easily lift) and left scratches.
4. There were two different drawings. On the delivery date, they came with their own version of drawing that was not sent to us. We had the original drawing we signed on, but they made a photocopy of the original and white-out, remeasured cabinets sizes and corrected with hand written numbers. Hence, different cabinets sent.
5. Because of #4, had to replace our microwave. We sent to our microwave model number to the designer as he was asking urgently. But this cabinet size was completely off, 3" difference.
6. The guy who is in charge of installation service was very aggressive. He kept asking to remove the HVAC, otherwise they can't install the cabinet. It's a non-sense that kitchen does not have ventilation. When we signed on the contract, the designer was kept telling us that as long as the HVAC pipe is within 6" diameter, they can install the cabinet without any issues. However, the install service guy and his boss never admit this (even though I sent him the proof of written communication). They are not supportive, not cooperative, but aggressive. We had to cut the cabinet to go with the drawing.
7. Cabinets delivered with cracks on it.
8. Installed cabinets without measuring levels properly, Raywal is scheduling for fixes.

After going through these, we had to reschedule subcontractors, which we did not anticipate for over budget. I'm not talking about a few hundreds, it's $5k extra.

I'm really disappointed at their customer services, they don't care about what the customers are receiving/feeling.

PLEASE DO NOT GO WITH RAYWAL! Worst experience ever.

Terrible! - Company is a JOKE

it's a long story, but these are the details..

i bought a new build home and so my cabinets were supplied by this company from my builder. those cabinets are fine. cheaply made but they do look nice.

i decided to add-on to the existing so i spoke with a salesperson and ordered a pantry. i called him back 2 days later to order the crown moulding, and valence trim because why not? this guy told me i would have to pay for shipping again! i told him just add it with the other order, if it takes extra time thats fine, but im not paying twice for shipping on an order they hadn't even started yet. he actually said he had to review it and made it sound like he was doing me a huge favour by saving me the shipping cost. over the phone i told him i could drop off cash payment at the showroom...he wasn't available and told me "I could stop by tonight and pick it up from your house". im like buddy i don't have that cash on me...im not even home yet. he was just very pushy.

the pantry comes in with the kickplate as ordered...only the pantry. we had a family friend install it. we noticed right away the staining on all pantry doors were striped and washed out, as if someone forgot to spray a second coat. after a lot of back and forth with the service department, they agreed to replace the doors and sent someone over to pick up a door sample to best match the colour. the kickplate that was delivered was scratched and chipped, we could not use one portion of it. and they didn't include the tape either to cover the rough edge that would be exposed.

i was very easy going, i said no problem, deliver the new doors with the crown and valence trim, i can wait. in the process my sister had cleaned crayon off one of the doors and ended up taking the stain off the door only by using a dish sponge! ...a yellow sponge took the stain off my cabinet.

i called the sales rep again and ordered another door. again i said just add it tot he outstanding order, i'll wait.

the new doors for the pantry finally come in...not the best, but a large improvement from what it was and im so tired of dealing with this bs so i let it go. he goes to install the replacement door that has been damaged and the hinges are wrong! this guy had my original order through the builder, details and measurements included.....how does that happen. they're going to be fixing that. my husband then asks for our sample door back, we've had our plates exposed for 3 months now.

the driver took a look in the truck multiple times and couldn't find it. but it's alright because when i called customer service "it's here somewhere"

it's been 3 months of this back and forth nonsense and in the end i ended up with a mediocre pantry door, a damaged cabinet, and my plates exposed.

i called to explain my frustration, how irritating this all has been, for the sales lady to ignore my concerns. i asked for free installation of the crown and trim or at least some money back, because their mistakes delayed my kitchen being done on time. she replied by saying...was it paid for? no? then we can't do it. she transferred me to another person who she said could help me...of course he didn't pick up. it's been 3 days and no reply to my message. i sent an email with no response.

i get it, things take time and mistakes happen, but the quality of your products and your customer service should not waiver. but who cares, right? i paid for what i got....and it wasn't cheap either.

this company is a joke. they should be sued for their stupidity. the employees don't care. the salesperson i dealt with was pushy and rude and when i asked for a different sales person they put me back to him.

i am beyond irritated and frustrated with this company. they simply don't care about their reputation. go somewhere else if you can.
