My senior mother (89 years old) got locked out of her condo and FC Locksmiths was called. My mother's door had a deadbolt and a lever-style handset (no lock). It was clear to me that the deadbolt was working, regardless the technician who arrived (I can't read his writing, looks like "Sasi") drilled out the deadbolt first, only to find that the lever style handset was the problem, so that had to be drilled out. Then, instead of replacing the handset with a lever-style handset, he installs a round doorknob, but it now has a lock. When I expressed my concern about this type of doorknob for a senior to manage, he told me that it will be a good exercise for my mother to use the round handle. For $450 charge, my mother should have at least been left with the type of door handle she used to have and without an additional lock for her to get stressed about (even though the same key works the deadbolt and door handle).
