Hardwood Giant

They sold us hard maple but it turned out to be soft birch. I took a sample to Lakehead University wood laboratory (certified wood laboratory) and they did some tests until they confirmed it was cheap soft birch that you can easily dent with your fingers and leave marks. I went back to Hardwood Giant with the lab report and tried to call them several times but they wouldn't respond. I visited their location and showed them the lab report but they DENIED it. DO NOT buy from them or else you would lose thousands of dollars on low quality wood that is not even worth a fraction of the price.

We signed a contract with Hardwood Giant in Scarborough in May, 2017 for the purchase and installation of hardwood. We received good service from Kamran but everything went downhill following the installation.
Immediately following the identification of several installation defects, I sent pictures of each defective work, as evidence, to Kamran who then referred the email to Major , supposedly the Installation Supervisor. Major came to visit our place to inspect and agreed that corrective action needs to occur and he was to schedule the work in six weeks. This took us to August. This is when we experienced the worst customer experience one can imagine. We did not get any advise on the schedule that we needed to follow up on several occasions. We spoke to Karan, the Manager on July 27, who advised Major was on leave and he will get back to us. Lo and behold , we never heard back from Karan. After following up yet again, we were told Major's replacement, Deep, is responsible for the scheduling. Following on another visit to Scarborough Office and emails to Deep, which received no response, I followed up and spoke to Deep who promised to get back to me on September 5. As before, NO PHONE CALL!, NO RESOLUTION. Two phone calls from us on September 6 still produced nothing. We were advised that Deep is on vacation and not available. We are left with several OUTSTANDING DEFECTIVE WORKMANSHIP! Don't buy into their ads of 100% customer guarantee. This company does not even know what customer service is let alone give you 100% guarantee.

You have to be very careful and alert when you deal with them. They trick you in paying the deposit. They told me they will come for free to estimate of course after the deposit. After the visit to my unit the preliminary invoice went up 350.00 they added unnecessary stuff. Since the deposit is not refundable i went ahead . When the installers came i made sure i count every product and made sure they installed what i paid including baseboards etc..
The installer did not even bring with him 3 of the items. There was one laminate box extra although the installer said otherwise. I made sure to call the office while the installer was in my unit to tell them for the missing items . Even the the installer reported one item less i guess wanted to keep gor himself. I had to put another fight for it. At the end i was able to save almost 400
I recommend to buy the hardwood separate and hire an installer through word of mouth then youll have less headache . They all suck . Every one tries to make money behind your back by fooling you. Very unethical .

Whatever you do don't give them your credit card... change your mind for whatever reason credit card will not be refunded. Made an appointment with them for in-home consultation and square footage verification. I clearly understood that if I cancelled the order after the in-home consultation that a portion of my deposit would go towards the service rendered. Days before the consultation I visited the show room to cancel the appointment and collect me deposit. Well to my surprise the consultant was paid in advance and could not get it back and as for the balance of my deposit... their policy is to mail you a cheque not credited on my credit cart as I processed it. I should have followed my gut the the time... In this place... the customer wrong.

This has to be the worst businesses I have ever had to deal with. I ordered hardwood from this location and dealt with a guy named Anjun. This guy will tell you anything you want to hear in order to get you into a purchase and leave a deposit. After you leave the deposit you quickly realize that nothing is going to go as you were promised. They will not have the product you ordered on time. If you paid these guys to install the floors like I did, be prepared to wait a lot longer then the date they promised you. They will not show up on the agreed date, and when you call them they will promise you they will be there by another date, and again will not show up. This will be your never ending battle. I found the sales rep Anjun as arrogant, disrespectful, and dishonest who will tell you anything just to have you leave a deposit. When you eventually get fed up with these people you will ask them for your deposit back as I did. They will tell you that they are just the "employees" and do not have the power to return money for the lack of service they provided. They will give you a business card and tell you to email their head office. Just imagine the kind of response you are going to get over email. I ended up cancelling the installation of the floors I ordered and just had them deliver the hardwood to my house. When my installers began putting together the floors we realized that the product itself is of very poor quality. Each plank of the hardwood was slightly off by thickness, and as such did not look absolutely even as it should have been. I am extremely disappointed with my dealings with this location of Hardwood Giant. I will 100% never make another purchase from them again. If you want to avoid the headaches which I incurred dealing with Anjun and the Hardwood Giant, please do not do business with them. And by the way look closely into the positive reviews that they have.

The Hardwood Giant on Warden had an amazing choice of flooring options, and great prices! The staff were super helpful, specifically A-J and Maqbool Janjau, who I would recommend and definitely go back to if ever doing another flooring job!

It was really great experience to purchase Hardwood Floor from Hardwood Giant. I am glad to meet pretty awesome people at Customer Service Desk. Particularly Mr. Maqbool was a great personality who not only helped me in unloading floor box from my car rather accommodated me to return one extra box even after 30 days which was really Superb! I would strongly recommend to buy best quality flooring from Hardwood Giant at very affordable price. The quality of product and customer service both are best.

We were looking for Hardwood for our family and living rooms and after some research we end up with Harwood Jiant. The price was very competitive and customer Service was a plus. AJ and his team was very helpfull starting from our color selection till delivery. I would highly recomend this place in Burlington.

As Interior Decorator ,I found very big collection of hardwood ,many choices ,good prices ,and very helpful sales associates !!!! even they have nice collection of new tiles as well.
