Carpentry At Its Best

Niall and his guys Billy, Andrew did a great job with renos for my sons basement bedroom and did what was asked efficiently. It took a day longer than originally estimated but I was cool with it what extra work was required. Would hire them again.

Niall, and his team of Billy and Andrew did a very good job on building a new front porch. Working from rough drawings, they were able to interpret and build something impressive - several neighbours have also made very positive comments - and within budget.

We also had them address a couple of minor jobs inside, hanging an oversize pair of French doors, and building a wall to create a separate room in our basement. Both were done very well.

They were communicative throughout the projects (there were no surprises), and provided quality work at reasonable rates.

I'd recommend them, and use them again.

I was most impressed by Niall's responsiveness in squeezing in a small job quickly. He was easy to deal with, gave practical advice and met his commitment. His staff (Bill) arrived on time, was courteous and did a decent job.

The job entailed measuring, cutting and screwing wooden pieces to two walls in my den. This wood was to support a heavy custom glass table top (glass work was performed by someone else). The job itself was pretty simple but it was completed on time and with decent quality.

I would hire Niall again for this type of work.

We had bought some DIY bookshelves with the idea to make them look custom. We phoned Niall after reading his great Homestars reviews. Niall came to our home and after making plans with him to move forward we were were introduced to Billy, who came by to reconfirm the specs and customize the bookshelves with Andrew. They did a beautiful job and the bookshelves look amazing - better than the inspiration photo that I had pulled from a magazine! Billy also hung a door and made us a lovely chalkboard. It was easy communicating with Niall and I would highly recommend his team who were easy to have working in our home. (I tried feeding them but they were always too busy working!) Thank you, gentlemen!

We previously hired Niall and his crew to finish the window and baseboard trim in 3 bedrooms. We asked Niall to build us a custom office complete with desk, shelves, cabinets and fold-down-bed. Niall was honest enough to say that he wouldn't be able to complete the job in our timeframe. Instead, he connected us to a colleague who completed the work. Throughout, Niall was in constant communication to ensure that the work was completed to our satisfaction. We're thrilled with our office/guest room. Thanks Niall!

Our job has been small and fiddly, but Niall fit it into his own busy schedule with his crew. The doors were hung beautifully, and he is very comfortable with the fussy trimwork and surrounds we were looking for. A great, great young crew.

Niall was very punctual and professional, completing a drywalling job on my garage ceiling on short notice. Working with just one other man they completed a job that would have taken me days in a few hours. No complaints at all and would absolutely recommend to a friend.

This was the second time I had Niall do work at my house – I was so impressed the first time, that I had to have him back! Niall and his colleagues did a terrific job in transforming our basement into a fantastic living space that is the envy of many – and at a very reasonable cost. Niall brought in the right trades, as needed, to get the job done in a very efficient manner. He rebuilt a washroom, added closets, moved/added walls, installed a bar, retrofitted an existing wall unit, resurfaced a fireplace, installed new trim and baseboards throughout etc. etc. It is stunning. Niall is terrific to deal with and always wants to ensure the customer is extremely satisfied with his work and will go out of his way to do that. He is very punctual and cleaned up every night so that the place was presentable and at the end he ensured all of the garbage was removed from the site. I would highly recommend Niall for any project.
