Overpriced, only did half the job, rude people

Do not call these people unless you like overpriced, disappointing work.
They have some weird clause where they wont fix a roof unless its actively leaking. So they show up for 500 bucks, but will not fix the problem unless its actively pouring into your home, but you can call them back when its raining for another 500 bucks??
They get really rude and aggressive when you question their work, prices or tactics, too, kind of making fun of you like oh, you cant afford us, eh? Take my advice and Go elsewhere my friends.

Company Response

Each successive review Mary leaves becomes more elaborate and further from the truth.
This customer has been verbally abusive to our staff and service teams. No member of our team has been rude nor aggressive with this client & we have made our best efforts to address and resolve her issue (which we are still unclear of exactly what it is...), we have the email correspondence chain to support this. The Client was informed of and agreed to our pricing levels and service protocol prior to attendance. Pricing was demonstrated to be within industry standards for the requested service.
The Client had requested her entire roof to be tarped to get her through the winter. This was a time and materials service call. Client was only charged for the time spent on site and materials' used. On attending her roof she was informed that only half the roof needed tarping, and the other half appeared to be in good and serviceable condition, and we recommended not to tarp this half of the roof, we do try provide the best advice to our clients and save the client money by not doing unnecessary work. Pictures of the condition and installation of the poor half (South elevation) were provided to the client as well as picture of the North elevation (good half). The client continued to argue that we tarped the wrong side of the roof and did a half job despite the pictorial evidence and continued using foul and derogatory language with our staff.

The client then informed us that she did not have the funds to pay for the services she contracted and we would just have to wait. We informed the client that if she still wanted the whole roof tarped we are happy to come back and only charge for additional time on site however did not recommend it. She refused.
The tarps were installed as per standard installation practices. We use tarping as a last resort in emergency situations with no other alternatives. Tarps are considered temporary measures against water ingress until such time as a roof can be permanently repaired or replaced. Installing tarps requires the penetration of the roof covering with fasteners and if the roof is in serviceable condition it is not something we recommend.
The client continues to complain about the installation, and our services, and leave derogatory reviews. We will respectfully agree to disagree, and wish her the best of luck with her roof.

Leaking skylights in Vancouver and Whistler

Our skylights in Vancouver were leaking due to heavy rain. RooFix came & worked at stopping the leakage. They basically protected our drywall from getting more damaged & it worked. It stayed dry until we installed a new roof.
We then had another problem at Whistler and their staff drove up & did an excellent job again. Both issues were successfully resolved by their staff.

They are quick to respond but they charge a lot more than other companies. They seem professional and were able to stop leak but the price is way too high.

Concrete Tile maintenance and repairs

I had several leaks on my 13 year old tile roof. Roofix came out and help me understand how the moss build up actually causes leaks. There price was high, but their service was great. All the leaks stopped, their service people were courteous and seemed to know what they were talking about. They cleaned my gutters, fix a small, slow leak on my skylight and even cleaned it! Replaced some broken tiles and even left some extra ones for the future. I'm probably going to have them back next year; will get moss metal strips installed and look at my Duradek.

fix roof peak

They were efficient and professional. A little expensive but it took two people all day to do the job. They replaced the shingles covering the peak of the roof and put in spike belts. They were a little expensive but offered good service.
