Each successive review Mary leaves becomes more elaborate and further from the truth.
This customer has been verbally abusive to our staff and service teams. No member of our team has been rude nor aggressive with this client & we have made our best efforts to address and resolve her issue (which we are still unclear of exactly what it is...), we have the email correspondence chain to support this. The Client was informed of and agreed to our pricing levels and service protocol prior to attendance. Pricing was demonstrated to be within industry standards for the requested service.
The Client had requested her entire roof to be tarped to get her through the winter. This was a time and materials service call. Client was only charged for the time spent on site and materials' used. On attending her roof she was informed that only half the roof needed tarping, and the other half appeared to be in good and serviceable condition, and we recommended not to tarp this half of the roof, we do try provide the best advice to our clients and save the client money by not doing unnecessary work. Pictures of the condition and installation of the poor half (South elevation) were provided to the client as well as picture of the North elevation (good half). The client continued to argue that we tarped the wrong side of the roof and did a half job despite the pictorial evidence and continued using foul and derogatory language with our staff. The client then informed us that she did not have the funds to pay for the services she contracted and we would just have to wait. We informed the client that if she still wanted the whole roof tarped we are happy to come back and only charge for additional time on site however did not recommend it. She refused.
The tarps were installed as per standard installation practices. We use tarping as a last resort in emergency situations with no other alternatives. Tarps are considered temporary measures against water ingress until such time as a roof can be permanently repaired or replaced. Installing tarps requires the penetration of the roof covering with fasteners and if the roof is in serviceable condition it is not something we recommend.
The client continues to complain about the installation, and our services, and leave derogatory reviews. We will respectfully agree to disagree, and wish her the best of luck with her roof.
