Drywall Repairman

The firm of plumbers that repiped our house also ripped more than 40 ugly, large holes in the drywall over several rooms. The place was a depressing eyesore, as if a bomb had hit. We wanted to find someone who could make the holes vanish again, as quickly as possible.

We called Dan, who came over to see the work, gave a prompt quotation (one of three we obtained), and answered our questions in detail. We were looking for someone who would be dedicated to the job to its end, and could make decisions for himself, rather than a firm that would move a crew of no-name different workers in and out of our house to suit their other ongoing jobs. We had to live in the house while the work was going on, so we did not want an invasion by people who would not take care of our home or disappear before cleaning up (issues we had seen with the plumbers).

Dan made very quick progress in filling the drywall holes, either with the sections that had been cut out (where suitable) or with pieces he had cut from a new sheet. After that he worked steadily at the mudding, sanding and painting. He tidied up as he went (including some of the rubble left the plumbers), and if he wanted to keep a tarp in place for an extended period, asked us about it. At the end of the process, it was difficult to believe that there had been any holes at all. He also dealt with several little problems that the plumbers, in their haste to leave, had left behind them.

I was very, very pleased with the outcome. It's simply impossible to see where the holes used to be, even those that had been in hard to reach places.

Whether you feel satisfied with a tradesman's work is not just a matter of the cost and the final product, but also depends on the experience of dealing with him. Dan is a master of drywalling and painting. He is a good communicator who works to a standard, and understands that he is working in someone's home.

I met Daniel about 2 weeks ago and his work is nothing short of incredible! As a contractor there is no better peace of mind than knowing your trades do an incredible job, and value their work. He shows up on time, doesnt dally, and leaves the space extremely clean! All I can say is I am happy to have met him, and I would definitely recommend him to everyone! Both contractors and homeowners.

Daniel did a great job mudding, sanding and finishing two problem areas I'd requested quotes on. He even touched up a poorly finished section of ceiling that was in close proximity to one of the patch areas, just to make sure everything blended nicely! In reinstalling a plate cover after sanding, he intentionally left it a touch loose so I could paint easily underneath and just tighten, which I really appreciated. The finished job was on budget and came out better than I'd expected being textured ceiling's are tough to match. Communication was excellent from start to finish, plastic was used to protect from dust and overspray, and work areas were cleaned up nicely after work completed.

Very friendly service and completed on time and on budget. Quality job.

Dan came in and helped finish off my Mom's duplex where another contractor had dropped the ball. Dan did the drywall repair and repainted the entire interior. He did a great job. He was very fair, quick, and provided good open communication. I would certainly use Dan again.

Dan did a great job , work was quick and he got rid of the ugly painted ceiling texture, very little dust as well his equipment is awesome!!

I had a leak in my ceiling and I created several holes to find it. Dan was able to quickly patch up all the holes and then paint the ceiling. No seams and he perfectly matched the colour and painted. I cannot even tell where the holes were. Great work, fast and clean.

We recently purchased our first home and had to have it repiped. It is a large 3-story home so there was a significant amount of damage.

I had done a lot of research online, including (but not limited to) Homestars, and had decided on Drywall Repairman.

From the very beginning Stavros was incredibly responsive and helpful, answering all of my questions with honesty and setting a clear picture of what we would be looking at for both expenses and required work. He and his team were incredibly hard workers with excellent work ethic, plus were wonderful and patient with our three young kids who liked to make their presence known as often as possible (and also patient with me, their overtired and exhausted mom!) They did a wonderful job fixing our home and we would not hesitate to recommend them or use them ourselves again in the future.
